Standard product. Happy Customer
Bought this Procus Convoy Car Dash Cam along with Procus Rush 4K Action Camera on Diwali sale from Amazon. Got this car dash camera for 3200/- which is a marginal price I think. Installed the camera successfully on my Swift VDI. It gives a standard look to my car. Before installing the camera took some demo videos and put on the laptop. Clarity of the video in normal day light is awesome. Very good clarity if you have a good exposure. Night recording is not upto mark as the camera do not have inbuilt night vision. I think they did not attach the IR(Infrared) lights(for night vision) intentionally. Becase as we are fixing the camera infront of the glass, the IR lights will reflect back and we wont get a clear video. [I have few suvelience cameras in my home and i had experienced the IR light issues during night for those cameras i kept near the window glass pointing outside.] However, the car headlight and street lights may help to get a standard video during night time. It will only support 32GB micro sd card, could have upgrade to 64GB as it helps in long drive to record more. Yet to check how stable the motion detection, G-sensor function and the park mode. During demo video making the motion detection worked well. The product comes with 120 degree FOV, which is a good wide angle. The product display is not up to mark, so always use a computer or laptop to check the image quality. It comes with a mounting bracket, so far it looks so strong on the windshield glass. Comes with a longer adapter cable. We can neatly fix it inside the car as per our convenience. Overall it's a standard car dash cam. It's recommended to have a dash cam in your car as we are driving on Indian roads. So far so good, everything is working well n good. The only concern now I have is to check how durable it is......!!! :)

Handy and reliable dash camera for first time owners!
Have been using it for couple of months now. Installation was easy. Good picture quality during the daytime. Night time quality is average. The mic/audio recording is good too. Couple of issues which need to be updated :- 1. The recordings are stored as separate files. Is it inbuilt or am I missing something? 2. Well, the charging port should have been same as a normal mobile charging port. The port provided is for a v3 type charger. 3. Micro hdmi port is also provided, but it's use is not mentioned in the manual. Overall, it is a good product for first time dash camera owners and it's also impressively cheap..

Not good, disappointed... Already stopped working
Not so impressed by this product. Straight ahead let me tell you the cons. 1. Night vision is very bad. 2. Day videos or just ok. If any vehicle is moving in front of you, until you're close enough to them, the camera can't capture the number plates properly. 3. Video and audio mismatch. 4. Last 40 seconds video in a 5 minute loop, doesn't play, only audio plays. Now the reason for me choosing the Procus. I own Procus rush action camera, which is actually fantastic in every way. So I went ahead and bought this, but I'm disappointed. On my Honda City I've installed Transcend dashboard camera. It's fantastic. Now for my new Tiago,I wanted to give it a try, as it was also cheap, but now I'm returning it, and getting another transcend camera itself, even though it costs much more than this, but infact I'll be happy with the product... Edit 1: This product cannot be returned, but could only be replaced. Total waste of money.. Edit 2: The product has already stopped working within 4 months. Never going to recommend it. Now I'll buy Transcend dashboard camera.

Light and Cheap.. and so is the quality
Initial Review : ------------------------------------- I was using the 70Mai for about 2 years before it stopped recording and was pushed to buy a new one. I wanted to go for something that is non-China made but unfortunately there is none and had to end up with Procus (The IPL Team KKR advertise this brand). I am bound to compare the product with the one I had used earlier (70Mai). I paid 3,500 for 70Mai then and paid around the same price for Procus Convoy now. With similar pricing, the expectation would be the same as 70Mai. Looks : * It is bigger than 70Mai but lighter. The cam looks very delicate, has a rubbery touch to it. The quality of 70Mai definitely scores better here. * Comes with a suction mount of good quality. The mount holds on the windscreen very well. 70Mai used to come with a 3M sticker to the windshield (no privilege to move the cam once stuck). * The cables are very long. Comes with multiple set of cables (one to cigarette charger, other to a USB2.0 slot, third a tiny one again to USB2.0 probably to connect to Laptop). Performance : * 120 degree wide angle works well. * Video quality is OK. I felt 70Mai was exceptionally good over this, the video quality was very crisp and was able to check the number plates, but for Procus Convoy I see grainy videos and the number plate cannot be captured unless you are right behind the vehicle. * Haven't checked the night video quality yet. * Sound recording and loop recording works well. My earlier 70Mai had issues with sound recording, never a big problem as all we need is a video proof of any untoward incident. * Haven't checked the motion detector. 70Mai had very good sensitivity. * Not sure if I can take pictures, 70Mai used to do this. * No voice commands. 70Mai used to have voice commands which was convenient to take pictures and enable certain settings for videos. * I would end up using the laptop to access videos with Procus Convoy. 70Mai used to have an App that used to connect to the Phone to access and download videos which I feel is very convenient. * Tried SanDisk memory card and works well. 70Mai had preferences on the brand of memory card and SanDisk was not supported. * The Camera mount to the suction mount is not tight and doesn't hold well, it keeps slipping off the suction mount slot and ends up hanging on the power cable. * The screen is neat and small however is a distration, would have loved to have a feature to turn off the screen while recording. 70Mai didn't come with a screen. * 70Mai support team sucks, the response is very slow and are mostly based out of China. Hopefully Procus support is good, is a wait and watch for me for now. I am yet to get over the hangover of 70Mai and ain't very convinced with Procus Convoy. A Month's Usage Review : ---------------------------- * Fixed (Jugaad) the loose Camera mount to the suction mount post which the tic-tic sound in the recordings also stopped. The camera is now firmly mounted and doesn't slip off the mount. * Using a 64GB Sandisk card and the cam supports perfectly well (Procus mentions that upto 32GB supported). Loop recording also performs well having seen no issues. * The audio in the recordings are neat and clear. * Night recording videos are good and serve the purpose. Not sure yet if I can capture the number plates. * However, figured a major issue. The Date-time stamp in the recordings have a Bug. The timestamp is continuous and doesn't reset to the current time ever, for instance, I last had my car run on 10th Aug 10:01pm and happened to start my car next on 14th Aug 9:30am but the recording has the timestamp as 10th Aug 10:02 pm. Same goes with the timestamp of the recorded files in the SD Card. This isn't the SD Card issue as I happened to see the same issue using 32GB and 8GB memory cards. Hopefully this gets fixed in the next software update, have written to Procus on the same. * The other issue I noticed is that the cam doesn't start once every 3-4 times while igniting the engine. I am made to remove the power cable (cut the power) and connect it back to start the recording. I am now made to check everytime if the cam has started after igniting the engine. I have now started to grow into Procus.

Just about enough insurance for evidence
Honestly, This is just a re-branded Chinese product with an Indian brand name. Although, the Indian brand has "very" less mark-up. Compared to aliexpress price, it's just around 20% expensive. But you get the advantage of home country warranty, easy replacement and really quick delivery. Now coming to this product's quality, being a generic chinese product it's quality is a hit or miss. The first product I received had it's screen all messed up to the point of being un-readable. Anyway, got a quick replacement delivered in couple of days (This is the advantage of paying that 20% mark-up). Many other's have more than 300% mark-up. The MiGadgets dash cam retailing for 9K on amazon retails for 2K on aliexpress. So finalized this one. The quality is great, but not to the point of readable number plates in "any" condition great. Daylight and close quarters number plates are readable. Night time, almost never. There is No polarizing filter option available so sunlight, reflections, bright light will mess up the video. But, enough rambling about the negatives, this is the best option at the price point. It has absolutely no hassles, just connect and forget. Start-up, shutdown, over-writing of old files (rotation) all happens automatically. Decent enough to catch any violations pretty clearly. (Night time video is barely recognizable, but visible nevertheless. Much clear if you have good headlamps.) Did not fall off parked in hot sun or show signs of slowing down or failing. Is still working fine after couple of weeks so I hope this one goes a long way. There are way better options than this one. But you will have to import it and take the risk of customs clearance, warranty or pay close to 15K for the ones available here.

Great dashcam at affordable price
Video Output of this dashcam is great and serves the purpose. Some important points: Pros: 1. Length of the wire is great. Can mount near Inside Rear view mirror and route the wire to plug area in centre console via roof, A pillar, below dashboard. 2. Will switch on and off automatically once car is turned on or off. 3. Different video resolutions available. 4. Suction cup is great. Holds very firmly. 5. Video quality is great and number plates are visible perfectly. 6. Loop recording available. Automatically deletes oldest video once memory starts filling. Cons: 1. Feels little big. But will get adjusted with time. 2. Plastic material doesnt give premium feel. 3. Night vision not available. But not a big deal since night video is pretty decent. Overall a great dashcam and a must buy if you are looking for your first dashcam. Even I searched a lot for a good dashcam and bought this and I am very happy with its results. Its worth what you pay for.

Works as advertised, value for money
This is a basic dashcam that works as advertised. I had a question regarding operating time on in-built battery which customer support answered promptly. I've tested video recording in the daytime and file transfer (to a Mac). Works fine and captures decent video and audio. Easy to install but the ball-and-socket joint of the mount could have been made stiffer. The weight of the USB cable causes the dashcam to swing out of horizontal orientation, but that is easily worked around by affixing the cable to the windscreen with double-sided tape. Ideally the USB socket should have been at the bottom of the camera. The manual is useless but not really required. Build quality is somewhat flimsy but overall this camera is value for money at this price (~ Rs 3500).
