While we are making Excellent, Quick, Soft Chapaties without much effort - why do some Chapaties Break / Crack on Pressing. Can we mix Oil / Ghee.

Welcome to BAJAJ VACCO Family !!Glad to note that you are Happily Using our famous Chapati Maker to make Excellent, Quick and Soft Chapaties.The reasons for some Chapaties to Break / Crack are – Kindly follow these Steps to use the Chapati Maker  1) Put the light Connection ON and wait for the Red Light to be OFF (Pre-Heat the Chapati Maker)  2) Always use Fresh Atta while making Dough, which should be made Ideally one hour before making Chapaties by using Atta / Flour and Water only. Ensure that the Dough is Moist with Adequate Water  3) Do Not Use Ghee or Oil while making Dough, for that would give Parantha or Mathi taste and such Chapaties Do Not Swell. 4) Put the Dough Ball (covering it with a little Dry Atta) a little above the Centre of the Bottom Tawa, 5) Cover the Bottom Tawa with the Upper Tawa and Press Hard with the Handle. The Chapati can Crack while pressing only if the Dough Ball is small, which may please be increased a little, in case the Chapati Cracks. 6) After Pressing, wait for 30 Sec. or so, than lift the Upper Tawa and Invert the Chapati i.e. Flip the Side and then place the Upper Tawa on the flipped Chapati, Softly (No Pressing this time)  –  just wait for a few Seconds and your Excellent, Quick and Soft Chapati is ready.
