This was a gift for my son’s 11th birthday and he LOVED it. I found the exact same one at a big box retailer in store for way more, and was shocked to see it at a such a great price on amazon. The quality is superb and the mechanics work beautifully. He loves the ability to retract it fully and the sound effects are spot on with the actions. As soon as it retracts the sound cuts exactly as it should. It has a nice substantial weight to it and feels pretty solid in your hand. Not cheap or lightweight at all. Lots of metal parts that make me think it’s going to survive his use for many years. The batteries have lasted through a lot of playtime and show no signs of depletion. Overall, this is an amazing gift or addition to any Star Wars collection and is affordable enough to not have to worry about keeping it on display only. The only thing I’d mention is my son said he wishes the lights were brighter, but in a dim or dark room, they are plenty bright enough. This hasn’t deterred his love for it.

This is a super good quality Lightsaber, which is made out of plastic, but it’s very good quality plastic somehow. It’s pretty durable surviving many drops and tits with my 12 year old playing with it. It brings him a ton of satisfaction. And it’s kept him busy for a week now.. the color is great not just using an LED up a red tube but instead using a ton of lights to make it light up in a way that at night it looks like my expensive Lightsaber. It’s not 100% worth it. It’s full price but if you get it on sale, it’s great. The sound quality is pretty loud and reacts to the way you move really well. The battery life is also pretty decent it died after 3 days off my son 24/7 playing with it. It also has love put into the design of the hilt. And a cool little kickstand. My only problem is my son convinced his grandfather to get him one without me knowing so I’m gonna have to return the one that I ordered on this account but it’s still a great product.

Such a cool and fun saber. A great price too. Of all the light sabers, and some that are very expensive, my child prefers this one since it automatically deploys and retracts. Well worth the cost. It does use quite a few batteries, like 6 I believe.

Incredible feat of toy engineering. I only know this because I had to open the device due to the saber not coming out consistently. The inner mechanics is very carefully crafted to make sure all the features work at the right time like the sound, lights, and retraction. THE BIG PROBLEM IS THOUGH, IS THAT THE MOTOR WHEN TRYING TO PUSH THE BLADE OUT REQUIRES A LOT OF POWER!!! 4xAA batteries is enough to make it work for a few cycles but as soon as those batteries lose a little capacity you would need to replace those batteries. Please for future versions of this device just install a battery that can be charged witha usb-c port.

GREATEST TOY EVER IN THE WHOLE WORLD! I bought this with my own money and I am a kid because my dad let and I absolutely loved it i play with it every single day I totally recommend this toy for your child or as a gift to someone it is definitely worth $15 . The colors are super cool but they should make more colors like the light saber colors from Star Wars. The sound is a not like the light sabers from Star Wars but a little too loud. Every single time I hit it against something I check if it is Damaged but it isn’t it has great durability. So far the battery life is lasting me. AND READ THIS PART, EVEN IF YOUR PACKAGE CAME DAMAGED AND THE LIGHT SABER DOES NOT WORK JUST BUY ANOTHER ONE ITS TOTALLY WORTH IT!

My son absolutely loves this!! Its an awesome toy and I wish I could've had this when I was a kid. Totally worth it. Works really well and the color is bright just like the movies. Tons of hours of fun and lightsaber duels.

Worked for a few days, then suddenly stopped retracting. Moreover, sometimes hitting the 'ignite' button would return the power-off sound and vice versa, and the sound was out of sync. Took it apart and was not surprised by why it's so sketchy. Its build quality is abysmal and very clearly not designed for any sort of longevity. I ended up swapping out that junk gear they put in it to control the saber extraction/retraction for one with a bit more speed and lower power draw. Also re-soldered their lackluster connections, removed that dumb power-on/off button and replaced it with a spacer I printed out on my 3D printer. Anyway sound is still a bit off sync, but at least it works like it should.

This lightsaber is awesome! It’s the only one I’ve seen that fully retracts and is completely automatic. I got two for my son & I and it totally takes a good beating on light saber fights without any visible damage. He’s 8 so nothing crazy but we broke the hasbro ones and this are holding up pretty well. I paid about $20 each and it’s both the lowest price I’ve paid for a lightsaber and the best quality lightsaber we’ve gotten without having to spend crazy amounts of money on a pair.
