This set of 4 wireless intercoms certainly comes at a hefty price and so I was expecting something rather special. Alas, they have limited functionality but then intercoms are pretty retro anyway. Each station is preconfigured to a number on the dial (1-4 in this instance, if you add more stations they would 5+, etc). You can make a hands-free call from any station to another one by pressing the station number and waiting for them to answer. Alternatively, you can use the Talk button but you would need to keep the button pressed down while you are talking and release it when you want to hear a response - "10-4 good buddy".The Group button is a little bizarre - if you press the Group button it rings all the other intercoms but only the first station to respond will be part of the "group" conversation - the rest cannot pick up once another station has answered! I guess it has a function, but annoying if you are the stations that have been called and want to answer but can't! There is also a Monitored mode which enables one station to constantly monitor another - ie a baby monitor, etc.Functionality apart, the Intercoms are solidly built and can be used either with the USB adapter (supplied) or via a 18650 rechargeable battery (not supplied!!). The intercoms have a range of 1700 feet in open areas and would make an ideal comms setup for camping, etc.There is no doubting that the intercoms work but the price is just not indicative of what you would expect - the lack of rechargeable batteries is a case in point. I have given the review 4 stars but 3.5 is a more accurate score.

Items scattered all 3 floors of the house. It works as intended most of the time but sometimes even the ones on the same floor may have patchy voices.

These are a bit old school, but they work well. Much simpler to use than Google / Alexa / smart speakers which sometimes are slow to respond or don't broadcast your messages to other rooms in the house at all. I wanted a simple solution with a physical button, a loud call tone and two way communication. Battery compartment is a plus too.

With this intercoms system you can connect all the rooms in a house and I can speak with anyone from any room at the touch of a button.It is very easy to set up and all it needs is connecting to the charger and plugging it in to be powered up. It can work off the wired charger or it can be used wireless and be powered off a 3.7 V rechargeable battery which is not included.It comes with two units which are of just the right size, with large, easy to read buttons which can easily be operated even by the short-sighted.It has nine different channels and multiple units can be synchronized together to cover all of those channels.When making contact with other rooms, you can have group talks with multiple rooms at the same time or a one-way conversation with one room in particular.The volume can be adjusted and the system also has a monitored function which has the intercom connected all the time and you can listen to everything is going on in that room, this feature being especially useful for when the intercom is in the children's room.A good intercom system which easily connects all the rooms in the house.
