Works well with some dogs
This unit did not work with my cocker spaniel or his two golden retriever friends, but it worked exceptionally well with a friends flat haired retriever who’s behaviour is at times to say the least not good. If it works with your dog it is great but don’t be surprised if does not work.

Effective and Easy-to-Use Bark Deterrent for Training
I recently got the SCOVIE Dog Bark Deterrent Device, and it's been a helpful tool in managing my dog's barking habits. With a range of up to 51 feet, this ultrasonic training tool is designed for small to medium-sized dogs, and it has made a noticeable difference in our household. One of the first things I appreciated about this device is its ease of use. The controls are straightforward, and it’s small enough to carry around, whether we’re inside or out in the garden. The 51ft range is more than sufficient for most situations, allowing me to address barking even when my dog is a bit further away. The ultrasonic sound is gentle yet effective—it doesn’t harm my dog, but it clearly gets his attention. After just a few uses, I noticed a reduction in unnecessary barking, especially during times when my dog would typically be triggered by outside noises. It's also reassuring to know that the sound is inaudible to humans, so it doesn't disturb anyone else in the house. The device is especially useful for training purposes. I've found it helpful in teaching my dog to stop barking at the doorbell or when seeing other dogs during our walks. It acts as a gentle reminder for him to stay calm, and over time, it's helped in reinforcing better behaviour. On the downside, while the device is effective, it might not be as impactful on larger or more stubborn dogs. It seems best suited for small to medium breeds that are responsive to ultrasonic frequencies. Additionally, while it works well in most scenarios, it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution—there are still times when my dog needs a bit more encouragement to stop barking.Overall, the SCOVIE Dog Bark Deterrent Device is a solid investment for those looking to train their small to medium-sized dogs to bark less. It’s easy to use, portable, and effective for general training. If you’re dealing with a noisy pup and want a humane way to curb the barking, this device is definitely worth trying.

Seems to work
This is a bit larger than I was anticipating; basically the size of a standard small hand torch. It took about 4 hours to charge up. The flashlight works well and the anti-bark appears to be working too. We tried it out while the dog was chilled, just to see if there was a reaction and he cocked his head to the side but it could have been because he heard the button click. The only behaviour we are wanting to correct is the barking at anyone coming to the door. This is seeming to be working. The barking hasn't stopped totally but it's happening less and is quieter. I can't comment on the range as we've only tested it in the home, within a room and the hallway as they are the only areas we have a problem with. However, I can see how very useful this could be if there's a problem with neighbouring dogs barking. No need for polite requests or confrontations! At £29.99 it does seem a little expensive but it's a comparable price to others on the market and for a quick remedy that doesn't distress the dog, I would say it's worth it.
