Very good books for someone without a medical background. As a physical therapist I found it very helpful but a little basic and repetitive in areas.

Definitely somewhat "definitive" at its time of printing in the early 2000's. What makes it worth the read is that there are a lot of practicing advice and examples of what to do. So, a good book for concrete things to put into practice. If you're dealing with dys (broad range) and other similar sensory challenges, you'll find solid, straightforward solutions here.
