Love the spring assist and detent upon closing
This is not the same heavy duty quality that you have come to expect from the Recon 1 or SR 1. This is more on par with your typical 79 dollar Civivi or comparable knife (although the bearings are not as smooth). Definitely overpriced for the build quality. I'm still giving five stars because it's everything they claim and performs as described. Very sharp out of the box, no blade wobble, somewhat smooth bearings. Quick deployment and safe to close one handed thanks to the detent that stops the blade from closing on your fingers. It's comfortable and relatively light weight and fine as an EDC; not too heavy or cumbersome. This is not a survival knife that you're going to baton with or chop trees to make a shelter. It's perfect for my line of work which requires one handed operation.

Weak assisted opening
I absolutely love the M4 steel and I love the handle, which is very well suited for my XL size hands.I hate the utterly weak assisted opening, granted it is a 4 inch blade, but still. It has no blade play whatsoever, and it locks just fine. The Atlas lock is about as annoying a lock as you can get. Half the time it won't cooperate when trying to unlock, which wastes time and could potentially lead to accidental cuts. The safety is an annoyingly little knob, which is just weird to use.

Another Cold Steel Banger!
Love Cold Steel knives and this one is not a let down! Great fit and finish strong lockup with no blade play. Assisted feature is done well nice blade release when deployed very fidget friendly.

I love the knife but hate any blade play. I have had two of these.
You’ve got added weight with the Atlas-style lock, which isn’t necessarily a dealbreaker. However, the real issue is the coil springs. Over time, they lose tension, leading to up-and-down blade play. I’ve owned three Visions and two Swift 3s, and every single one developed this issue. The reliance on coil springs for lock tension is a design flaw—once they weaken, the lock loses its tight engagement, compromising stability.

Atlas lock is weak. Triad lock is better
