Winch remote does not work. Control unit was labelled incorrectly, causing installation wiring to be connected nearly causing a fire. Rather poor design.

Installed onto the stock Polaris winch plate in the stock holes. If you have the Polaris winch plate, this is an easy install. I didn't even bother with the switch as the remote is what I use and it works great! No wires and I can be anywhere I need when operating the winch. The fairlead didn't fit my 2016 Rzr 1000 but I plan to 3d print one instead. I was able to bolt it in but only from one side. It worked for the weekend off roading. It would have been nice if it came with a stopper but for the price I cannot complain.

Just finished the install of this winch on a trailer. Build quality looks very good. Installation was easy, and it works. Remote works fine too. Red Ignition wire needs 12+ power source.

First let me say this thing brings the beef, it has questionably too much power for my purposes, which is a boat trailer winch. The electronics on it are amazing, the wires provided are top notch, I couldn't find anything as nice at Home Depot, the shielding and copper thread inside are much better than what I was able to buy for my plug extension. The hardware is okay but I had to buy longer bolts for mine. Everything is metric so be aware of that... The threading is 1.25. I did ever so slightly over draw and the rope turned into smashed crayons, I was able to break it up and get it back to normal but I wish I had gone with the cable... I might end up slapping some cable on there. The feed plate where the rope goes through is kind of baffling, I was able to get it finger tight but I can't get a socket around the head of the bolt once it's in the plate. The remote control range is ridiculous and more than I'd ever need for loading the boat. Overall a solid product but consider the cable version.
