They work well and are easy to install.
These windlass remotes work great. Very easy to install although no instructions are included - however, they are available on line. Remote provides excellent up and down control and can easily be attached to a lanyard to protect against loss. We have a wired remote mounted at the helm station, but it's not possible to see the anchor as it comes up to the roller from that position. With the wireless remote you can walk up to the bow and finish off the retrieval while viewing/flushing the chain and anchor. With two people it reduces the need for hand signals since the person at the bow has full control. These remotes are about a tenth of the price of the factory model available from the windlass manufacturer. Very highly recommended.

Not reliable
We used this product on our sailboat and it stopped working within 24 hours…quite disappointed.Bought another different cheap wireless Chinese made remote and it performs flawlessly.

Saved a lot of wiring...and money
This product worked amazingly well on my Lewmar anchor windlass. There is the slightest lag in both directions when compared to a wired switch. Tenths of seconds, nothing to cause me any concern. If this thing proves durable, it is an amazing bargain that also saved me having to pull 20 or 30 ft of wire for a helm switch. As others have mentioned, there is no wiring diagram included but the wiring is pretty obvious. Red for 12 volts+, black for negative with white (raise) and yellow (lower) wired to the respective contacts. The green wire is an antenna that should be extended up to receive the signal from the remote. The only thing that they could do for a fifth star is include the wiring diagram and a neck lanyard for the remotes.

Quality isn’t there
Preferred this unit to assist in the use of my windless, we had to return due to defect, the replacement arrived quickly. The mechanic advised that even though this device states used as a remote “physical use”.The unit was not capable to handle the size of chain and anchor. No specs were specific when purchased.Might be great for other vessels have a 30 ft cruiser.

I was and I am glad I took this route
This product can save you $250 if you are considering buying the wireless for a Lewmar WIndlass. I was and I am glad I took this route. You do have to have the solenoid for the windlass but the Lewmar V-700 I had purchased came with a solenoid so I was all set.It is true that this thing comes with no directions which is totally bizarre but here is what I did to make mine work:I ran the red wire to the same positive brass bolt that takes the positive lead from the breaker. Having the circular connector was nice so I could just slip it over the bolt.I kept the circle connectors on and slipped then over the bladed posts on the solenoid because it was easy to just make sure the unit functioned properly - it did and it was a good fit so I have kept it that way for now but I may wire the leads in better at some point. Anyway I ran the black wire to the middle blade (which on the Lewmar is a negative terminal with a short lead to a negative brass bolt) and the yellow and white wires to the other two blades for up and down. I would tell you which is which but I had mine switched initially and I had to reverse them. My advice is to try them one way and if you push "up" and the anchor goes down then take a minute and switch these two - no rocket science here. I hope this helps, it would have helped me!

GREAT PRODUCT EASY TO USE
I install this on my 1988 300 weekender with a older Sea Wolf windless. Took a few different attempts to get it to work. There are no instruction that come in the package. Just make sure to use a test light to make sure you have a good + - connection.DO NOT CONNECT THE POWER WIRES IT TO THE WINDLESS SOLENOID. It will just keep tripping it on and off.Other than that great product.. now I can be super lazy and just sit in the cockpit and set or retrieve the anchor.*** UPDATE *** I have been using this for about a year and a half and the control box stopped working. Talk to customer service and they took care of the defective part. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Works Great, Wiring info was backwards
The unit works great; tied it into my anchor switch at the helm. Wiring info was backwards for the up and down. Quick re-wire, and all working fine.

Works as claimed
As others mentioned there are no instructions with the packaging. It was fairly simple to wire in using the wiring diagram in the ad. The range is fairly good. I walked about 40 metres down the dock and it would still respond the remote. There is about a one second delay between pressing the button and it engaging the windlass. I have only used it a few times but so far so good and much cheaper than the Lewmar remote.

Not waterproof
Works well with 1s delay since last October. However one of the remotes fell recently to the sea and stopped responding immediately. Not waterproof as intended...
