Bought to replace a Nighthawk Router that had become troublesome. The Nighthawk router was less than a year old but had given me problems from day one. The web interface was slow, unresponsive at times, unintuitive, and worst of all would freeze up randomly every other day. After searching around and looking at customer reviews I purchased this router and I am pleased to say all those problems are no more. This router has a responsive web interface, it has been rock solid reliable for the last 5 or 6 months with no problems at all. Both wired and wireless have been stable for the entire time. In terms of appearance it's not much different from all the other routers on the market today, it's neither pleasing or revolting, It sits on a shelf under the TV and does not draw attention. Signal strength and range of signal is well above average I would say in our 3 bedroom house. The old router needed a signal booster to help cover the entire house where this router gives 4 bars all round the house and even in the loft where the dongle for our solar panels lives. Overall I would say this is great value for money, It won't win any awards for appearance but it won't make you hide it either. Signal strength, speed, and stability of signal are all excellent. Most importantly you plug this router in, set it up, and then forget about it!

What an awesome powerhouse, Asus did it again with this Router ... I am extremely satisfied with this product, lightning fast on both WiFi and Ethernet to start with, easy to setup out of the box and with room to tweak it up some more, you can install some special scripts if you really want to. I mainly like the AI free protection that comes with it as an added layer of security, the VPN features and much more but the real reason I decided to go for this router is because it is not Chinese made which in terms of cyber security means a lot, this device is directly connected to my ISP by Fiber Internet, it replaced the ISP router and it is the main gate to my home network so I will not risk it with any product. So I would highly recommend this wonderful product to anyone who is security councious and is looking to secure his precious home network. As usual do some research before buying and go through all the features to make sure it covers your needs. I would also strongly recommend to have a dedicated fanless firewall in your network to complete your network security.

I bought a cudy router recently which has the same CPU by broadcom and I can tell it's been utilised properly. I thought the cudy router was great until things went south and things started to go wrong. This Asus router is excellent it has -Good build quality -Easily best coverage and signal strength of any router I've used. -Easy set up just follow in app instructions or simply use a the web interface. -Powerfull CPU I've dived deeper into the spec even though Asus don't tell you what model it is. -1gb ram this is key and important for future proofing. The router was £109 when I purchased it which is a bargain. The routers firmware is far better than the one I had before and it features AI protection which is free but don't expect it keep everything out you still have to be vigilant although it's better than standard firewalls. The 4g/5g usb is a feature I hadn't have to use on Asus routers but I had to other day and I can say it saved the day. I just a popped a 4g dongle in and hey presto super fast internet. Asus keep up the good work

What can I say except this is the best router I've ever had/used. The WiFi range on this is amazing and honestly for a small router it does a great job. You can configure different VPN profiles, you can create a guest network that runs through a VPN server which is amazing. I've got too many good things to list, the only bad thing is the internet disconnects randomly sometimes once a week and other times once every other day. A restart fixes it and it's a bug in the firmware which hasn't been fixed. This is why I'm rating it 4 stars.

Really not impressed, randomly drops LAN connections through the night (also with all auto restarts disabled) Have to restart every LAN'ed PC each time it happens. Only works a decent standard when minimum features are used As a set-up: 4 bed brick house, router is central above a doorway wall mounted on the ground floor. 10 Nest Cams setup as optimised. 4 speakers, 9 tablets/phones/laptops and Main PC used to TV a main entertainment, mainly for gaming and youtube. Set up in router mode with Virgin superhub 3 in modem mode (1Gbit). Router current firmware 3.0.0.6.102_39068 Negative - ASUS are zero help - updates and help are non-existent - Using the Ai or QoS features causes some serious wait issues - WiFi 7 and MLO are both absolute disappointing BS - I spent round 5 hours learning and setting everything up only for the router to crash out and have to be factory reset - WiFi is awful even on 2.4 band when the weather is bad....in a dry tidy house - Drops LAN connection randomly during night - if you choose to run a VPN through the router, you're essentially giving ASUS your credentials. My work have advised against it and to stick to the VPN app on your OS instead as a much safer option. - Range to IOT devices such as outdoor NEST cameras - Casting to google speakers 1½ rooms away causes distorted sound - Keyword filtering doesn't work due to HTTPS. - using an external drive as a NAS will max out the routers CPU and RAM while using just 1 device Positive - App is decent, if only all the features worked - looks nice wall mounted - Parental controls of time and device groups are spot on - ability to plug and play an external drive to USB is nice, almost like a cheap low powered NAS (it will max out the routers CPU and RAM while using just 1 device) - Had fewer problems with the box it came in I'll give this 6 months, but i can hear ebay calling...

Easy to set up and good coverage. It has been a massive improvement on the sky router in terms of reliability, performance and signal strength. I purchased it as it has the option to extend via mesh and add a usb sim dongle. I was frequently having to restart the sky router due to intenst drop out and thought i might lager add a USB dongle. However I have not needed extra wifi range with this and I have had no Internet connectivity issues since installing it

It is a limited wifi 7 router without the 6 GHz Frequency. If you don't have devices using that frequency, it is a very good and affordable router with the latest technology. It has complex functions but is easy to set up. The wifi signal is much stronger that the one provided by the ISP even after I tuned down the signal strength to save energy. I have no complaint about it. Highly recommended.

It's a decent router but for the price I honestly expected a little better. When I first bought this router 6 months ago it was great, my stability increased greatly, the signal was incredibly reliable and the app is a breeze to navigate. The app does have it's issues but overall it's pretty clean and gives you all the info you need, you can even set it up so it notifies you when the connection drops or another device connects. Pretty cool. It's signal is also great, I love in a house with thick walls and I never have signal issues no matter where I go so it's faultless for me in that regard. The problems however started when the firmware needed updating, I have my PC connected via ethernet (as everyone should imo) and about a week after updating the firmware I started experiencing ping spikes. I'm talking ping jumping from 15ms to 1000ms for around 10 seconds then reverting back, I could live with it if it was once a day but it was every 3 or so minutes. It became incredibly disruptive. So I naturally believed it was my ISP not the router. Gave them a call and let them know what was going on, they said the don't see any disconnections or disruptions on their end and to check my hardware. I have an eero 6 router so I plugged that in heavily expecting the ping spikes to continue. After 3 hours of testing, not a single spike on the eero. I then tried the Asus again and low and behold ping spikes were back. So I did what everybody else would do, I factory reset and set it back up. It was fine again for another 2 weeks before they started returning, only this time they were accompanied by genuine connection dropouts. Reached straight for my eero and haven't had issues on that particular router. It's hard to fault the router itself because it does so many things right and it seems to be the software side of things that's the issue, mine also seems to be a slightly rare case as it doesn't seem widespread but it does render it unusable with it's current firmware. I could roll it back but it's so much easier for me to just use the eero for now. I'll update the review at the next firmware update (if and when) but for right now it's a solid router but with major software issues in my case.

We are very satisfied with the "ASUS RT-BE58U WiFi Extendible Router 7 AiMesh." Installation took just two minutes, and 16 devices connected immediately. We are using the router as a standalone unit to support our IoT devices and smaller appliances (phones, cameras, sensors, washing machine, EcoFlow, etc.). We have long used ASUS AiMesh to connect our systems ranging from those inside the house to the gate at the property entrance via Wi-Fi. We use three "ASUS RT-AX57 AX3000 AiMesh" dual-band units as the AiMesh host and clients. Windscribe is set up directly on the ASUS router as the VPN service. The system runs reliably every day, and we use it to connect to our servers worldwide.

Fungerar mycket bra, och mycket lätt att installera. Konfigurationen gick super smidigt i appen. Alla lösenord och uppkopplingar på Wifi fanns kvar i appen. Det gick på några minuter att koppla upp sig och köra. För priset rekommenderas det verkligen

Gekocht om als AI-mesh node te fungeren. Ik had dat nog nooit geconfigureerd en de handleiding is niet echt geweldig wat dat betreft maar na wat puzzelen aan de praat gekregen (met een ASUS RT AC5300). Signaal is perfect, nu ook 5GHz WiFi waar ik eerder nauwelijks 2.4Ghz bereik had.

Good quality Wifi 7 router for the money, it has some tricks in in's sleeve...

15 yıldır asus ürünlerini kullanıyorum çok memnundum ancak kullandığım Wi-Fi 7 cihazları korkunç derecede kötü. Bu cihazın haricinde be82u Be86u da kullandım tek kelimeyle hepsi berbat. Cihazın stabilitesi kötü her gün planlı olarak sabah altıda kapanıp açılıyor ama yinede kilitlendiği içingün içinde en az bir kere de benim resetlemem lazım. Üst modelini aldım aynı dertler onda da var yetmedi be86u aldım sonuç olarak hem hayal kırıklığı hem paramla rezil oldum, ax serisi mükemmeldi. Menzil ax e göre ciddi azalmış, cihazların bağlantısı 3 - 5 Mb’e kadar düşüyor mesh cihaza bağlantıda ciddi SORUNLAR yaşıyor. Kesinlikle tavsiye etmiyorum.
