And like in all the things Hugh Jackman does, it's is the best. I'm not a drinker, Sorry Ryan.Originally, I bought the Laughing Man k-cups at Costco and after trying it, I was surprised it wasn't some bland, generic coffee with a celebrity name attached to it.( I guess I would put it more as an affordable upper end brand, now available pretty much everwhere.)Bought the ground next, so in the ground form, I would have more options like using it in a French press, espresso maker, in a Keurig with a reusable k-cup or just a plain filtered cup.I'm not sure how it compares to the prices of other coffees, but I'd guess it's not like the $4-$5 you'd spend at an ubiquitous Starbucks.I've decided to stop going to Starbucks for awhile now and I give away cards given to me. Mostly because of the declining quality in their coffees, the lines waiting for to order, the lines waiting as the quantities of the specialties are made and then waiting for your name to be shouted out.For the time it would take me to go get coffee at Starbucks, I can make a cup of Laughing Man coffee I can enjoy at my own home, not in my car, rushing to work because the line at Starbucks was extra long that morning and hoping I don't spill it in a rush trying to get to work on time.Laughing Man coffee may take a little effort by actually having to make it yourself, I hope as more people try it, they'll remember how to enjoy coffee again. (Get yourself a foamer, they're worth it, and whatever flavor you've decided you want to turn your coffee into. I still like my coffee to taste like coffee)I really do hope more people try it. I am so glad I did. I got the Hugh's Blend, mostly because I love Hugh Jackman, and it is the best, reasonably priced, coffee I have ever had. When I buy reasonably priced coffee (between $4 and $9) I usually buy Starbucks or New England Coffee Company coffee. (I find those 2 the best for the buck). However, I normally drink organic specialty coffees from brands that source from sustainable, trade free farms and have high corporate social responsibility. Laughing Man Coffee really is right up there with them. I would rate this coffee 4th in my wheel house of coffee companies.That being said, I would highly recommend trying this coffee, especially if you are on a tight budget and can't afford specialty coffees, and it is 100x better than Starbucks brand! If I am lucky, they will at least have Folger's or Dunkin (which I am not fond of).So I ordered two different coffee brands to try while out here; Laughing Man and Black Rifle (fair trade or veteran owned). While Black Rifle (BR) was pretty good, Laughing Man was actually better! I believe it was not as overpowering or acidic as BR, but it was more subtle (with a good taste) and smooth. Easier on the stomach during the long days.And fair trade.
