Portable Coffee and Tea Essentials, Stainless Steel, Grinder

Took it backpacking/camping and it's lightweight and remarkably easy to use. Popped in a standard cone coffee filter and brewed some coffee. Give it a rinse after use and its ready to fold up in your pack ready for the trail.

I use this everyday to make boiling water for my coffee. Its built like a tank but looks elegant. Snowpeak product have a premium price and you get a premium product for it

Snowpeak engineering, so fabulous design, brand name folds more flat, less bendy, worth the money! Take any cheap round paper filter, fold in half (half moon) then fold over about a third, now you have a cone that fits perfectly, throw out or compost when done. No need to even rinse in between uses although it’s stainless steel so dishwasher fine too. Also works with stainless screen, laser drilled or fabric reusable filters. Fits even larger mugs or former French Press containers whose fiddly bits have gone wonky. Everywhere I take this, people end up loving it. Make coffee as mild, strong, fast or slow as you want. Ideal for tiny, sustainable living.

I actually bought this to use in my home rather than to take camping but I wanted something that I could bring camping with me or use over flame in an emergency, that would be easy to keep clean, hold up well with minimal effort, and that wouldn't burn my hand when I inevitably forgot to grab a pot holder to take it off the stove with. I haven't used it anywhere outside of my propane cooktop, but it's hitting all the marks so far. I can only use this on the smallest burner on the lowest setting if I don't want the flames to swallow up the sides, but that's just fine for me. The handle doesn't get hot at all, not even warm. The the knob on the lid is wood so as long as you make sure to put your spare hand on that part while you're pouring, there's no need for a mitt or towel to handle it with. It does have a little latch on the inside of the lid which should keep it from popping off while you pour as long as it's opposite the spout, but the latch is directly opposite the three steam holes in the lid and if you tilt the kettle too far forward while pouring, you do risk the water coming out there if you rely on that to keep the lid on. I just place a finger over the knob with the steam holes facing away from my hand when I am pouring. It won't hold much water before it fills up to the spout holes so I never boil more than what I need for about a single mug of tea at a time, but it's been doing that job without issues pretty much daily for a couple of months. The outside bottom has gotten a few little rust spots where I've neglected to dry it a few times, but those seem shallow and easy to scrub off. I have forgotten water in the kettle overnight a few times and the interior hasn't rusted even a speck yet, though I'm sure it's best to try and empty it after each use if you can remember. Long and short, it's working just how I need it to and seems like it'll last if I take good care of it.

I ordered this because of a review I came across in the mag Bon Appetit. I thought this would be a significant addition to my traveling accessories wherever the journey leads. It is light, foldable and still stable. Overall it is a very nice addition However, the instructions are written in an Asian language. Therefore I'm not sure if I use a number 2 or 4 cone filter, basket filter, all the above. After pondering the foreign diagram there seems to be a manufacturer recommendation regarding the filter. The other pause for consternation was my premise, purchasing this "American" offering vs the Chinese models at 1/2 the price. I've been to Snow Peak website and they are rather elitist so this non-English instruction card came as a surprise revelation. At this price point I was expecting English instructions Anyway. It is what it is. Did brew a cup of coffee and folded it away after cleaning. Mission accomplished but I felt the product did fail to meet my 5 star criteria

I have tried several different methods of making coffee while camping. Percolators, Presses, Pulls, Powders, plenty of others. The simple pour-over has worked out the best every time. The Snow Peak is light-weight and it folds flat for easy transport. Works with standard filters. And I can make one cup or ten cups, each one hot and fresh when made.

Pour-over, drip method is the most practical when camping. Discard grounds with filter, no fuss. Doubles as sediment filter. I have the larger snow peak titanium pot that I also use as mug (careful not to burn yourself, wait a minute, try a sip first). The drip is very stable on that pot, just remember it folds flat and has no stop in either direction. A bit pricey but it has heft (rationalizing the spend...)

I avidly tell love this pour over. It folds up very nicely and fits compactly in my camping box. I love being able to fold it up so it doesn't take up much room. It's also very light. I don't know if I would recommend it for backpackers because it's kind of long and I would be afraid of bending the legs.

Compact, Durable, Some times it need strength to grind Good for camping with vehicle or tracking. If you don't need compactness consider its price.

Best Purchased!

Brauchbar und einfach in der Handhabung Leider steht es sehr instabil/wackelig. Auch der Preis für das bissl Blech ist irre….

This is an excellent product. We carried it on our travels abroad recently and we're delighted with it. It folds up, is lightweight, strong and safe. Buy with the filter papers. The coffee tastes delicious and it is simple and quick to make, just place over your cup and add boiling water to the coffee in the filter paper. We often use it in preference to our coffee machine as more environmentally friendly and makes excellent coffee. Why is it a men's coffee drip? Women like it too! It is expensive, but really good design and quality. Great for travel.

Magnífico y práctico, para usar con filtros v60 o chemex, no sé porque imaginé que sería de titanio, pero en realidad sí es de acero inoxidable, la molienda debe ser para chemex ya que no tiene canales o estrías que aceleren la decantación
