Once you line up blade and guide then pierce the can it cuts every time. It may not be as smooth cutting as modern openers but this one can’t fail. This is just what I was looking for. I also love that it is smaller, and takes up less room in your drawer. Update…… still working terrifically, I’m very pleased

My fingers hurt using this product. My $5 can opener works better than this let alone spending $20 for a brand name.
