So I bought these thinking they were plastic. They are lightly laminated but still very much a basic card.They have a slight foil effect, but it's not as per the photos. Nice collector set if you want to spend the money, but they aren't any different, practically, to the standard card set.

Cards came reasonably packaged and perfectly intact. I have always loved uno. It's a fun game, simple to learn but probably hard to truly master lol. With this platinum edition I was a bit curious to know how it differs from the original. To be honest the cards look beautiful with the shiny finish. There is a real improvement in the quality of the cards. These are sturdier and stiffer than the normal ones, so I guess they will not get damaged easily. This is a plus as my usual Uno deck has been through a lot of spilling and shuffling in the years that I have been using it. In terms of the rules, nothing is new. It is the same old classic one, which was quite nice since there was nothing new to learn. They would be great as a great gift and are the perfect size for a stocking filler too. Decent value too as they are more premium than the typical uno cards.

UNO is a classic game for a reason - it's fun, easy to play and takes skill too. This particular edition is very good quality and should last a while so I'm very happy with it and would recommend.

Five stars for the physical quality but 3 star for the actual game experience, it's the upgrade we didn't need. I much prefer rhe colourful version and honestly struggle think of a place or an occasion that these would be necessary for. However, they do what they set out to do, they look premium and luxurious. I did find my gameplay a but hindered by some of the new card designs. Therefore at time it slowed the gameplay down. Still we did enjoy our two rounds as a family playing this. My 10 and 8 year old managed to play along despite the different designs but as I said gameplay was slowed. So I'd suggest the age range would be better suited to adults.As well as the different designs (subdued colours, alternative icons) the cards have a more robust and premium feel to my old regular Uno cards. They're the same size but the card is definitely a higher grade materials.

Just a nicer quality, more premium version of the standard UNO game. If you already have Uno and play it regularly, you won't actually be getting anything different with this other than a change in the design of the card faces. However, if you want a version of Uno that you're happier to bring out in more grown-up company, there's nothing wrong with these cards and for £11, I think it's fair value.

The main difference between these and the classic Uno game cards is that these ones feature fine metallic silver/platinum sheen, making the cards themselves look sophisticated and luxurious.Despite the looks the gameplay hasn't been changed, old rules of the traditional gameplay apply.Compared to the regular play cards, these ones seem to be more durable.I got these, as a Christmas gift for our friends, I believe they are ideal for this purpose.
