Fast and powerful in a small form factor
After a lot of research into other PC’s, I ended up settling for this due to it being comparatively cheaper than computers with similar form factor and specifications (In addition to having to buy a monitor). The package arrived promptly, box was slightly damaged upon arrival but contents were otherwise unharmed and well packed. After arrival, my unit was fitted with:- 1TB Samsung EVO Pro- 32GB Intel Optane (For storage)- 32GB 2666 MHz RAMTypical use cases for me are mainly for running heavy computations and playing video games on the side. In addition to usage as a portable computer (not suitable for usage on public transit power), it looks smart and is deceptively small. This unit would also be suitable as a media centre (definitely can go with lower end internals if being used as such) in the future as technology improves. As a Mac user, I still remain unconvinced that this can replace my trusty MacBook Pro, after just over 2 months of usage, but it definitely does give it a run for its money. Usage of the unit is fast and responsive with a 10 - 15s boot time and very little input lag (however this may be due to the peripherals being used).Improvements that can be made to the unit would be to upgrade the network card to WiFi 6 but not having any networking issues at this present time. Other issues to be aware of would be that the power supply unit is about the same size as the computer so ensure that you have enough physical space available to accommodate such.In conclusion, I am satisfied with my intel NUC. It is able to handle much of the workload that I throw at it and rarely crashes.

Compact, quiet, and fast. Worth it.
Added 512GB SSD and 32GB memory. As a developer, I love it. I've been using NUCs for several years and expect this to be the same hard working machine as the others.

Fantastic Small Form Factor PC
Bought the PC after many hours of research and reviews. This truly is an amazing and well built thought out system. It's small dimensions hide a very powerful collection of components. I have used this for everything including gaming and have never been this impressed. It sails through all tasks with ease and is highly recommended.********** This is an updated review after 14 months with this machine. I have believe it or not had x3 of these machines fail in that time period which was extremely frustrating. Each time it had, under intel warranty to be sent back to the Netherlands via their courier. After they confirm its intact they first shipped me a used machine with a scratch across the top which was unacceptable. I complained and they sent me a new machine.Long story short for three of these to fail there is clearly an inherent fault which intel refused to accept. My opinion for what it's worth is these due to there small form factor overheat and as such, break. On my third 'bricked' machine I rightly complained and requested a refund. Again I had to return the machine leaving me once again without a PC. Upon receipt they refunded me via Western Union which was in itself a ball ache which was further compounded by intel refusing to fully refund me. All in all an awful experience and I will NEVER buy an intel made PC again. Please see the contrast in my reviews, do yourself a favour and AVOID this little PC.

Superb!
Great form factor and performance given it’s size. Definitely louder than reviews have you believe but disabling Turbo Boost fixes that problem pretty quickly.Absolutely love the display output options.

Driver's haven't been updated since march 2020
This PC is decent for what it is however the graphics haven't been updated since march 2020 so it has compatibility issues with software like Adobe Premiere and Davinci Resolve. If you plan on playing games that didn't come out before this year you will be fine using it but I would imagine that newer games wouldn't support the drivers for this machine in the future and forget about using this nuc for rendering work.

Beware, this is the barebone version!
Do not trust the description of this product as it does not come with 16GB of RAM, nor the 1TB SSD, let alone a licensed Windows 10 Home...I purchased the model referred as ‘Style Name: i7-8809G/1TB NVMe SSD/Win 10 Home’, but received the barebone version instead. I had to buy additional memory and storage to be able to use my unit. This is definitely not good!I am rating this item only one star due to the misleading description of an otherwise great product.

Loud fans
Research led me to believe this was quieter than the Skull Canyon model. This one sounds like a drone taking off so I can only imagine the Skull Canyon must've sounded like a gas turbine at full tilt. I've tried selecting 'quiet' from the cooling settings in the 'bios' - but this seems to have little effect.I'm sure it's an awesome PC in all other respects.
