I made a perfect cucumber salad using the slicer on this grater. I had been looking for a new mandoline slicer - the very expensive one I had was so dangerous. After reading reviews of other mandolines, they are dangerous too. THEN I saw the slicer on the side of this grater. I needed a new grater anyway so I decided to give it a try. This device is sturdy, grates cheese beautifully, of course. It's larger than I thought it would be but I don't care. It's that good.

This is a traditional standing shredder that I grew up with in my house. This one is well made and the slicing/grating/shredding cut outs are sharp. This doesn't wobble and is perfect for hand shredding.

My mom had a grater similar to this one when I was growing up; but this one is BETTER.Why? Because it has a very slight, unexpected curve. When I first noticed the curve I wondered why they made it that way. I decided that the slight curve probably just gave the grater more stability, and left it at that.Then, one day, while I was grating cheese for a plate of nachos, I realized an unexpected feature of this curve. Typically, when grating, and particularly when grating hard cheese, the surface of the cheese will get rather flat and begin to slip, sliding down the grater without grating. BUT NOT WITH THIS grater. Because of the curve, the face of the cheese is never flat, as the grater does not remove the cheese evenly. The slight outward bulge of the grater removes more cheese, or whatever, than the areas further from the bulge. This ensures that the item being grated will have a slightly uneven surface which greatly helps with the grating process.And, of course the grater arrived sharp and shiny and ready to get to work. Five stars!

This is a fantastic grater, especially for me. I've got pretty big mitts, and smaller graters can be a little hard to use, sometimes even dangerous, but this one? Not a chance! This grater is actually a joy to use, and I am very happy to give it it's own special spot on my counter.

I really like this Professional Cheese Grater - Stainless Steel, XL Size Grater. It is made extremely well and the quality is very excellent! I am used to the graters that you buy from the big box stores and you hold down the top handle as you use it and it bends and caves in because it’s made of thin metal, but not this grater! It is made of solid stainless steel and it’s not going to get crushed or bent and it can handle your grating the cheese without falling apart. This extra large grater is so much bigger than the ones you buy from the big box stores. It looks just as great after washing it in the dishwasher as it did when I opened it. I highly recommend this well-made grater!

This food grater is very nicely made and seems quite durable. It is very large though which is nice as it stands tall on the kitchen counter or wherever you are using it and it also allows you to grate a large amount. However, it's cumbersome to store away if you have limited cabinet space as I do in my very small kitchen. I hand wash my dishes and this cleans very easy. I imagine it will last a very long time due to its sturdy construction. It's a very nice, well-made tool, just a little large for storage.

I was pleasantly surprised at the size of this XL professional cheese grater. It is made from stainless steel with a black rubber bottom area to keep it steady when using it. I have had an old one for years, it was smaller and all stainless steel. The handle was smaller on that one and I found myself having to grate the cheese for my tacos several times so I was definitely ready for a larger one. I mostly use it for grating cheese for tacos. Now I can get enough cheese grated faster and easier. If you’re looking for a larger XL professional cheese grater I recommend this one. The price is good, the size is nice to have and it should last for years.
