Better looking than a bulb setup
Takes a little bit to warm up on initial startup, but it's perfect for a 10g terrarium. Bought two because of this. Temperature stays consistent if room temp stays consistent.

Extremely poor heat output
Should have listened to the bad reviews. I wanted this because it has the temperature adjustment. Yes, it puts out heat. But it’s only 7” away from the target and it’s barely above room temperature, and it’s on max setting. Totally useless.

Just what i needed in a pinch
I love it, just what I need. First this is not an infrared radiant heat panel that heat’s surrounding surfaces!, this is a mini heater. It heats up some metal wires and blows a fan to push the heat. It makes a lil buzzing noise too. My girls tank has pvc panels on top of the mesh to keep moisture in and this will help give some airflow in her tank with some extra heat. She has an under tank heat pad but I think this will help increase her ambient heat temps. The air flow is very light, I have to lic my finger then put it under the panel to feel anything. It’s been plugged in for only a few minutes and it already has one quarter all warmed up, I have a 2x2x4. I’m going to keep an eye on it, it may end up being finicky with having to check the temp often and manually open the tank and switch it off. Im not sure if it will hold up but I hope so, it makes for a perfect setup for now. It just is basically the quality of a hand fan with some hot wires.

Look for something else like
Don’t waste your money , it’s ok if you have a smaller tank like maybe a 20 gallon, but that’s it . I have a 40 gallon tank with a setup where my ball python can bask in the area where the fan would be and even at 7 inches away. It only got up to 73.5 degrees . And that was on high. After talking to the company. I was told the heater works on regions so I guess my house is a region ? But yea just watch out .

Don't bother total joke
Instruction show how to change out the fan, but yet you cannot locate the fan on line or through website anywhere if it needs to be replaced, also it states in the directions not meant for long use, to turn it off so it can expand the lifetime of the product. I bought this for everyday use with the idea it would replace the ceramic bulb i am currently using. save on space and with heat controls would be easier to maintain during the hot and cold seasons in my house. So the fact that its only supposed to be used temporarily makes it useless to me, I don't need it now and then but always. So after reading that I was gonna give it a test run to see if the reviews I read before are true about temperature stability and does it put out the heat? Well sadly it doesn't turn on at all, So I called about warranty and they informed me the fan was probably bad and needed to be replaced, even though it was brand new from manufacturer, and it took a while on the phone playing tag to get it figured out, I finally just hung up and will probably return it when I get time, otherwise just another paper weight. Sad to cause had they been honest about how to use the product it would have saved me a lot of time right out of the gate. So if your looking for a better heating solution this one probably wont work but if you wanna test your luck like i did then I wish you best of luck. I don't have time to do this shipping back and forth waiting game. So bought a ceramic one again and will try that for awhile until I can find better solution. The only reason it got 2 stars is because the packaging was very good, and the unit looks really nice and high tech for being simple product really. It mounted great in enclosure and plug in was plenty long enough.

Mounts easily on top or inside enclosure. Through the screen it will fit if you ream the holes.
So far so good! Works excellent and not to loud UPDATED REVIEW 6 MONTHS LATER. Mine works perfectly for 67 gallon pvc reptizoo enclosure. Keeps my green tree python temps right where I need them in the low 80s with humidity holdimg 75/85% (also have a mister) I had no odors when startup up or now. I have another in a 120 gallon enclosure for ball python and it didnt work as well but kept near 80°. It is only 30 watts. There is a cheaper brand that is 60 watts for around same price that also works very well. Both units are almost identical, yes they look like cheap plastic but feels sturdy. I have a total of 3 and have ine in the way.

RHPs are good for nighttime and Winter temp stability, not for warm/hot daytime use
Radiant heat panels are great to use during cold weather or at night to keep temperatures stable. Unless you're using a very weak halogen bulb for Basking during the day with a UVB sourse, then there's no real need to have RHPs running during the daytime, you won't get anything more than a few degrees above room temp. If you live in colder climates or if your house runs cold, or if you use your AC a lot, then get a stronger Basking bulb and perhaps even a ceramic heat emitter and just run the RHP for a few hours at night.

If you want your animals to be warm, don't buy this.
This thing says it's recommended for tanks under 20 gallons. I have a 10 gallon tank and this heater wouldn't even heat up the surface of the ground that was like 3 inches away from it. I had to run out to the store and buy a different heater cause this doesn't work even when the knob is twisted all the way to the highest temp. It's not even worth the price.
