PILOTG2 Gel Ink Refill, Fine Point, Black Ink - Pack of 6 (PIL77240-6PACKS)

I've owned a Waterman Phileas roller ball pen body for many years, and I loved the pen very much when I first bought it and started using it. But I have always found it very difficult to get a good refill cartridge for this pen. The Waterman roller ball refill cartridge is not that hard to find, but both my own experience with these refills as well as recent reviews from other consumers are hit and miss at best. Many recent purchasers of the Waterman refill report unacceptably poor performance, ranging from ink skipping to refills that just plain wouldn't write. My own luck with the Waterman refills was similar. As a result of these disappointing refill results, I went in search of a substitute refill, something not MADE for the Phileas, but usable in it.But as much as I love the Phileas roller ball body, finding a quality substitute refill that both fits properly (was not too long, not too short) and writes smoothly proved to be quite difficult. I searched on and off for years without ever finding a good substitute refill.It recently occurred to me to go browsing through blogs written by people who love their pens as much as I do, and it was there that I learned that many people had had good success using Pilot G2 Gel Ink Refills in their Phileas roller ball bodies. I ordered some, tried them out, and I am tremendously happy to report that A) the fit is perfect ... not too long (so it allows for complete screw-on closure of the front and back half of the body without forcing) and not too short (making for loose or incomplete engagement of the tip). It's JUST right! B) the ink flow and writing characteristics of the refill are wonderful, putting down a smooth line from the first stroke on the paper. At last! And don't overlook the pricing difference. For about $1 each, these refills are much more reasonably priced than any of the ones I've tried before that didn't work nearly as well.So, if you're a Waterman Phileas roller ball lover searching for a perfect replacement refill, I can HIGHLY recommend Pilot G2 Gel Ink Refill. Perfect fit, great, smooth line ... I'm totally satisfied.

Love the pen shell and hate to throw away when out of ink. These are terrific. Easy to switch out, good value. Have ordered more than once. Highly recommend.

I love these pens. They don't leak. they write nicely. And I was happy to find refills instead of buying new pens since the pens are very expensive.

I am a big fan of these pens and their refills. In both my work as a writer, and now writing long hands notes when I study they have been a solid performer for me. I have three of the pens these go into and now have ordered two small packages of multiple refills. My problem is that out of the two boxes I have ordered it seems like one or two of the refills just don't want to keep a steady ink flow. I have hung them to the side of a monitor to allow them to flow down whenever they don't want to work. Today and yesterday I gave up and threw two of the refiles from the last box away. It is this an acceptable amount of waste on something I love using. I dont know but it would be nice if all of the refills worked properly all of the time.

The Pilot G2 is my favorite pen. I give them as gifts and remind people to not throw it away when the ink runs out. Refills keep that pen alive forever! Very inexpensive. This pack of refills will last me for years. I journal every day so that’s saying a lot!
