3ft Brown Single Gas Lift Up Ottoman Storage Bed

This was my first new bed purchase, I did some research at local bed stores to get a feel for the product family and other makers construction methods and prices. The extra three cross bars are not normally used in much more expensive models and do increase the rigidity of the platform. I did note the bearing surfaces of the moving parts are not in any way designed for longevity which is why I only gave this 4 out of 5 stars. I deal with that design flaw using Teflon reinforced synthetic cycle grease in the accessible moving joints. I had no difficulty assembling this bed on my own using the tools supplied.

Nice strong bed , just be careful when assembling in a small room as the bottom has Velcro on and grips the carpet , you will need to tip the bed on its side to place the material on the bottom which is held in place by the Velcro, when doing this make sure the frame work which lifts up is away from the wall as mine popped out whilst on its side and marked the wall

I'm fairly handy so, putting this together was fairly straight forward but, if recommend 2 pairs of hands to make life easier. Looks great and sturdy construction. Two things with noting...1. The first few times you push down the bed, you're sure it's going to buckle; it won't. Push from the centre add instructed and you're fine.2. The base is just a cloth sheet secured to the frame by velcro so, I wouldn't load heavy objects in there and then move the bed or I imagine it will pop off the velcro strip.Daughter loves it.

absolute nightmare to put together !! you need a lot of patience .. the end result is satisfactory though and my 14 yr old loves it .. u need a separate mattress but ther are loads of good deals out there . would not in a million years have paid the original full price for this bed .. but the 92 pound I paid was a good deal . storage space underneath is a godsend !!

Very cheap for what it is, after nearly a year of owning and using this bed i can say that its worth the money, only issue I've had is one of the connections on one of the hydraulic cylinders cracked about 2 months ago but hasnt stopped it from functioning at all, maybe just a tad weaker other wise still fine, really easy to build, put together by myself in 30 mins

Bed arrived promptly and was well packaged. Easy to assemble with two or more people, took about 1 1/2 hours in total. Probably not suitable for heavier people - bought two for my children who are like whippets, and the say the bed squeaks a little when they move around on it. Base is just woven fabric and wouldn't hold much weight, so we left this off and put items for storage on the floor.

I bought this for my 10 year old son as his old bed was getting a bit tired and we wanted some extra storage. The bed was ok to put together, my husband spent a good couple of hours fixing it together, however it was a bit tricky at times so I stepped in to lend a hand. Once the bed was made and put into place along with the mattress ( we bought a memory foam mattress) my son was easily able to open and close the bed without too much trouble. We've had it for around three weeks and my son says it's lovely to sleep one, furthermore it's great to have the extra space for all his toys and games.

I saw similar beds sold locally for double the price, but decided to go for these. I'm glad i did, as they are very good quality. The only downside i had was one of the arms had not been drilled for the intended bolt, so they should be checked before they are dispatched, as i had to drill it myself.
