I had had my eye on this bag for a long time, so at 55 pounds it seemed like a good deal relative to other Duffels of this size on the market.I like the design aesthetic and the construction is very high quality.HOWEVER:(1) it lacks side/external pockets for grab-n-go items like snacks, keys, etc(2) interior organisation Is minimal- a mesh zipped off area in the lid flap- so it is essentially one big sack inside.(3) there are adjuster clips on the flanks exactly where my ribs make contact when carrying on my shoulder, as such it is not often a nice experience to mount the full bag on one's shoulder versus carrying in hand, and therefore overall usability and utility of the bag are substantially diminished in real world usage.
