I wanted to replace the shifting knob in my car for a while now and decided to go with this one and I was surprised when I got it and it was nice and heavy. But, unfortunately, when I looked at the adapters that connect the knob to the shifter I found that they were plastic; they should be some sort of metal. The plastic adapters, for one, is not threaded on the inside so trying to get them on is a pain... not too mention trying to get them off. Two, who knows what high heat is going to do to them. Because of the plastic adapters I cannot endorse this product because I would hate to see that adapter fail while going do the road.

This is the right size shifter knob for my old truck. It fits my hand very well. I took away one star because it would not fit my shift lever at first, even with the three adapters which came with it. Fortunately, I had an old adapter which fit and worked. The old adapter was larger than the three provided. It worked though.
