Yerba Mate Rosamonte with stems ,1 kg (Pack of 1)

I started using this when I developed an intolerance to coffee and tea and so looked for a morning alternative. After reading about the benefits I decided to try it. I have tried many brands but decided this is my favourite. I do not use one of those special pot thingy's instead I use a ball shaped tea infuser. I use just enough hot water to cover the infuser and leave it to steep overnight. I like mine hot so in morning I add hot water to it. (I can get 2 or 3 drinks out of it before throwing away and starting again). It is also tastes really nice with and adds extra punch with a shot of lemon juice and ginger juice. I have heard it described as tasting like a green tea but personally I would say it tastes like liquid cigarettes and smells like them too. Yuk! but amazingly I have got used to it and look forward to it every day. It wakes me up and gives extra stamina as the day goes on. I am much more mentally alert too.

Having recently discovered how many different kinds of tea and tea-like brews there are I thought I'd try this one as many people have recommended it. Yerba Mate Rosamonte definitely is one of the stronger and more refreshing ones which I have tried, which is exactly what I wanted. The taste of it is a little bit smokey (Not like ashy or burnt smoke but rather somewhat similar to a nice cigar smoke) and earthy but smooth. I definitely recommend it to everyone who like their tea, or wants to try something new, stronger or a different taste from the ordinary tea. Also I highly recommend buying it from the 'FeelGood-Sale Ltd' seller, I had a query and although I have send an e-mail late at night, I have received a response almost instantly, making this probably the best customer (service) experience I've had so far.

After looking at the reviews, I was convinced that it was a good brand of mate. At first, I was rather disappointed: lack of taste, a lot of dust... Overall it was not a pleasant first experience. After leaving a poor review, I decided to give it another try. By performing the advised gestures on the internet (30• angle, flipping it over...), it turns out to be much better! Therefore, I am retracting my previous review: this mate is good, has a pretty normal taste, and I definitely recommend it for the energy.

My favourite

One of my favourites brands from my home country, as it doesn’t have an overwhelming bitter taste and has low dust. A bit much overpriced at times. In Argentina is easily found for £4. However, it’s my daily drink every morning and afternoon. I’ll keep buying it.

Good quality but the test very light.

I had this Yerba years ago when I was working with Argentines! Glad I could buy it again. It’s very flavourful and a good alternative to coffee. Much cleaner!

Il mate Rosamonte ' un marchio storico sudamericano, e acquistato qui su Amazon si e' rivelato ottimo. La parte residuale frantumata/polverosa, si e' rivelata abbastanza consistente, difatti almento nel nostro caso con polvere nella percentuale di circa il 15 percento, almeno nel nostro sacchetto dove terminando la confezione negli ultimi 100/150 grammi si e' rivelato molto polveroso. Cosa fastidiosa infatti la polvere penetra nella bombilla e finisce in bocca. Di questa marca esiste anche la versione 'especial" che purtroppo non si trova facilmente. Paragonato ad un altro mate abbastanza conosciuto ( PAJARITO) non ha il sapore affumicato di quest'ultimo, ed e' veramente gustoso almeno nel primo paio di infusioni/ricariche nell'apposito bicchiere svasato. Peccato per il prezzo un po alto rispetto a quanto costa nei paesi di origine, ma certamente la logistica e il trasporto incidono molto sul prezzo finale. Sicuramente torneremo ad acquistarlo.
