I don't go on a trip without it
I had the regular AeroPress Go before, and I completely replaced it with Go Plus. Pair it with a metal filter and pressurized cap, and you have the ultimate travel companion. Just note that the lid has to go if you're using pressurized cap, as that cap is taller than the regular one. It makes great coffee, and the mug is very convenient and durable. If you like paper filters, it has also a good storage solution for them at the bottom.

One of the best ways to make coffee.
First off, buy the Aeropress branded “no-leak” cap and metal filter. I’ve tried others due to reviews of the Aeropress branded, turns out Aeropress’ versions work best for me personally and are far less complicated. The difference in paper filter vs metal filter is negligible at best, preferentially some will stick with paper. The no leak cap is a necessity. Bought this for long-haul camping after using my home pour over on a trip. That setup works perfectly at home but pales in comparison to this press, the Go+ is smoother, silkier, less mess, more compact, quick etc. I have yet to take this on a trip and no doubt this will be a long lasting piece of gear. The tumbler keeps coffee hot for about an hour, warm for another two, then starts cooling down (shouldn’t take that long to drink a cuppa though). I also love that even at brew level 4 there’s room for cream if desired Some folks have issues with the accessories and/or what comes in the tumbler, following instructions to a T as written, there have been zero problems. The thing isn’t pricey (it is with accessories) but absolutely worth the dough given shoddy alternatives. I’m hoping this lasts a very long time.

Perfect
First: Aeropress coffee tastes better. Less bitter; smooth. Second: everything you need is self contained and well designed. Perfect for work, travel, or just hitting the road. I love it. Third: the Plus Go brews up to 10oz and the mug holds 15 oz safely. If you're a heavy coffee drinker, just know you'll need to brew multiple cups, which is not a pain. Fourth: clean up! Egad, this is the simplest, easiest, and most efficient method (well, maybe after a k-cup) to clean! Lastly, I love mine!

Great way to brew your own coffee while traveling
I have a regular AeroPress at home that I've traveled with a few times. This travel set is better designed than the OG for all the parts to fit together in a compact package that's perfect for traveling. The AeroPress itself seems to be made of a different kind of plastic that gives it a more solid feel than the home version. My only qualms are with the mug: 1) it does a poor job of insulating warm beverages; coffee barely stays warm for an hour, and 2) the magnetic opening on the lid is a great little design feature in theory, but poorly executed on this, as it doesn't close all the way and leaves room for liquids to leak out. Other than that, I'm glad I got it, but I do wish the mug was designed better.

Great for travel!
I am a truck driver, and I got tired of truck stop/travel center coffee that can be hit-or-miss, even at the national chains. In fact, I was tired of having to go to a travel center to get coffee, period. I wanted a way to make coffee on my truck. I looked for something that would not need a lot of space to store, not fussy to use, easy to clean, and still make good coffee. I have used this Aeropress for a month now, and this ticks all the boxes! I even love the storage for extra filters on the bottom of the cup! Minimum storage footprint is a huge deal in a confined space. This Aeropress and a one pound bag of coffee fit in a small tote bag measuring approximately 10x10x4 inches, with room to spare for small items. I have never used a French press, but I have read it takes a while. With this Areopress, it takes longer to boil the water than to make the coffee! The coffee taste great; no bitterness at all! Cleaning is as simple as dump the grounds and filter, rinse, dry, put away. I do make sure I wipe the plunger to clean the grounds residue. I like this so much I use it at home! Having said that, my only complaint is when I want a huge mug of coffee, I still need to use my regular coffee maker.....or I can make two Aeropress cups of coffee. For really good coffee, I'll make the two cups 😊 I will be getting a larger Aeropress for home use.

Great coffee on the go with the AreoPress to go kit!
After reading reviews and watching countless videos the Areo Press was the way to go. The go kit is great with the filters screwing neatly into the bottom of the stainless cup. the unit sits safely on. Great taste easy to clean up & has been there for me when the electric was out.

BUY IT, BUT NOT THE TRAVEL VERSION
I bought this as a gift which was disappointing since everything did not work. The included travel mug leaks immediately. We tried a second one and the mug leaks as well. The lid is just so poorly designed which is surprising since the coffee press itself is well liked and better quality. There is a place that holds a few filters which is a nice feature. The taste of the coffee is pleasant. You might consider buying more filters at the time of purchase or soon after trying your coffee press. Knowing what I know now, I would have purchased a different version of THIS brand of coffee press without the mug. It is practically impossible not to have it dribble coffee on your clothes, hands, lap or whatever. Hot coffee burns and stains which is no surprise. That aside, the gift recipient likes the coffee press and could give a better explanation. The press itself works fine, makes coffee as expected and it all packs up well. As for me, I would buy it locally because getting a replacement and returning the defective products has been more work than if I had purchased it locally. Had this just been a one off defective coffee mug I would understand but after doing more research I realize this mug lid is of such blantant poor quality in general so I am very disappointed that I am put out by this process over brand that was thought to be reputable. The value for the money of the TRAVEL MUG version is really one star. The same is true when you factor in that the ENTIRE product is about the packability. I think the ease of use is a 4 for the press because a press takes more work in general. BUT, maybe it's a 5 after the learning curve. It's not a good value for the money since the travel mug is such poor quality yet supposed to be such a central part of the travel version. Do your research. The gift recipient might buy a different version again but we would definately not buy the travel version.

Good
Aeropress is great, however the travel mug lid doesn't seal so you have every chance of spills if you just put it in your bag.
