ILLUMINATEA Matcha Pistachio White Chocolate Spread (4oz)

I'm slightly obsessed with matcha am SO GLAD I ordered this spread because it's amazing! Before ordering, I was worried that it might be too sweet for my liking because of the white chocolate, but it struck a surprisingly well-blended balance. At the forefront is the delicious aromatic matcha flavor which is well complemented by the creamy sweetness of the white chocolate. I don't find the sweetness too strong, and it's offset beautifully by the slight savory/umami qualities of pistachio. Who knew that pistachio would be such a great addition to the two other ingredients?I've been adding the spread to my summer berries and bananas, and I'm obsessed. I just found out the brand has an instagram account where they post recipes and snacks inspired by this spread, and I can't wait to try those out!

I'm amazed by how versatile it can be, from adding a sweet kick to my breakfasts, being a fruit dip, or even being used in my matcha dessert recipes!Pro tip: the IG page "illuminatea" has lots of great recipes that the matcha spread can be used it. I recently made a Matcha Milk Mochi Parfait and it tasted amazing. Next recipe I'll try is probably the Matcha cake (with a drizzle of matcha spread on top, of course).

Pictured with regular sized Bic for scaleIt didn't taste much like matcha at all, just sweet pistachio. Almost like a cookie. It might be good to bake with or to drizzle over pistachio cookies but there is no bitter earthyness you'd expect. Recc OSULLOC brand instead its not as sweet and has a stronger flavor. It's more expensive but you also get a larger jar.

I'm a big fan of both nut butters (lol) and matcha. Like matcha lattes, snacks, ice cream, etc. During quarantine, not many dessert spots were open so I ordered this spread and the other spread from this company to try with fruits and desserts. Cause I am bougie.It is AMAZING. It is on the $$ side but for matcha, i felt it was well worth it. The pistachio flavor really comes through! Wasn't sure how the two would work together but damn, the flavor is great.There was some separation between the oil and spread when I opened it but, just like peanut butter, mixed it back up together and it was super creamy.My mom also said she likes it lol.

This is just yum, although the jar is super small . 4 stars for the size . But 5 stars for the taste.

Too much sugar you can't taste the pistachios at all. Total rip off

I was so excited to see Amazon selling Illuminatea. This stuff is seriously so good and I could eat it straight from the jar. I love matcha, white chocolate & pistachio on their own, and the combination is delicious! It’s great on toast, waffles, pancakes, ice cream, and on its own. Seriously, buy this! Buy multiple jars because you’re going to want to put this in everything!

Love how creamy this spread is! Most matcha products tend to be a bit grainy for my liking, but the Matcha White Choco spread is perfectly smooth. So far, I like using this spread with toast or bananas as a snack instead of using peanut butter. The flavor is really matcha-y, and it honestly reminds me of Green Tea Kit-Kats. I think it would go really well with other breakfast foods too like pancakes or french toast, so I’ll have to try that next time!!
