I got tired of repairing it and ordered this one.It installed quite easily. However, I do notice the pull is a bit harder. The issue is in the aluminum like collar that secures the switch on the outside. Works beautifully.A couple of tips:-Make sure that you write down or take a photo of how the color coded wires are arranged in the numbered contact ports in the existing control before you remove it. It's critical to put the correct color wires into the correct numbered contacts when you install the new switch.-Also be sure to check that the switch matches the frequency of the transformer in the ceiling fan.
