I used the 40 grit to sharpen my Bush Hog blades. It worked very well and quickly cut the blade which may have never been sharpened to a nice sharp edge. Still plenty of life left in the sanding disc. I used a 60 grit on my lawnmower blade. The disc still looks like new. I think it came in a 10 pack and with the durability, I should have plenty of them for some time to come.

Benchmark flap discs
I've never used flap discs before so I can't say if they are good or bad but, for me, they worked very well to sharpen a lawnmower blade. That's what I purchased them for, and they worked perfectly. Some reviews said they came apart right away. That didn't happen on mine and after sharpening the blade, it hardly looks worn. As of right now, I would recommend them.

I bought these disks due to a YouTube channel I watch, and I couldn’t agree more that these disks rock! I’ve used them to sharpen lawn mower blades, to get rid of paint from wood, and rust from sea cans
