Why does Green Magma contain Organic Brown Rice powder and Organic Maltodextrin?

The maltodextrin takes away the bitter taste. I love the taste of this but cannot tolerate the now foods brand because of the bitter taste. The organic brown rice powder helps with the digestion of the barley grass.
