Old Version, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser 236ml

This product (in combination with the moisturising cream from same brand) has saved my skin. I suddenly developed acne on my forehead and upper chest over a period of two months. I used benzoyl peroxide wash and cream for a few weeks and this cleared up the acne but left me with terrible dry/sore/sensitive/ flaky skin!! If I used my old skincare products the acne began to return! I happened to spot these products and used both the cetaphil wash and cream twice a day. Within four days my skin was soft and hydrated again with no unsightly bumps or redness!! I know use this as my daily routine to keep my skin in good condition. The only downside is that the wash does not foam, this is a problem if like me you wear a lot of make up. To rectify this is wash and rinse and repeat, then follow with micellar water which removes all my make up. Fabulous product for those with super sensitive skin due to its simple ingredients and no nasty sulphates. Will continue to purchase.

Things you should know: - Has no scent at all. - Gentle with sensitive skin (my skin is quite sensitive and works like a charm) - Not foamy at all. Feels almost like a lotion. - If used everyday (or every other day) keeps your skin clean and well maintained. - I use it in the shower under the hot water and when I get dry my skin (which isn't too dry nor too greasy) is a bit drier than normal, kinda asking me for a face lotion but doesn't flake. Overall, great value. Works great as part of your everyday skincare routine.

This product is a decent skin cleanser. The only reason I'm rating it 4* is because I feel that the cleanser doesn't apply easily on the skin. It's impossible to create a lather and so it feels like you're putting an oily hand soap on your face and rubbing it about. However, once you manage to cover your face and cleanse, it comes off nicely and leaves your skin feeling fresh without having all your oils stripped from your face. This moisturiser, like many (if not all) of the Cetaphil product range, is also non-comedogenic; it does not block pores. This is great for acne suffers as it minimises the risk of blocked pores occurring from your own skincare products. Would definitely recommend using the Cetaphil moisturiser in combination.

I've always loved using this cetaphil cleanser. For someone who has combination skin which can sometimes be sensitive to products, this does the job. Does what it says on the dispenser! It smells oat-ey, but I quite like that. My partner has dry skin, and this also works very well on him. The price is a huge plus, it's super affordable and it lasts a good 6 weeks for the 2 of us. We've spent so much money investing in skincare and cleansers over the years. But, despite Superdrugs Hemp range, this has been the product we've always ended up coming back to. I've had skin issues on my scalp for many years now, not sure what the cause is - but, I've been using this instead of shampoo recently too and I've had zero flareups and it cleans the hair nicely. (I've tried everything else out there to no avail) Obviously this isn't what the product is intended to be used for, but jut putting it out there if anyone has the same problems with their scalp as mine! :)

I wanted to give this product a few months use before reviewing, I've been using the product twice a day now for 3 months and I can honestly say my skin has never been better. I use it as a cleanser to remove makeup and I also wash my face every morning with it. I've always had sensitive skin and have bought into the usual well known expensive potions in the past..all of which have let me down. This simple little cleanser leaves my skin feeling like silk, I haven't had one breakout or patch of eczema since I started using it and as someone who would never have left the house without makeup on before I very rarely wear it now. Love this product!

Has cleared up my very oily but very sensitive skin. Leaves it feeling really smooth and squeaky clean. I used to do the Korean 10 step skin care routine but my face was red and had blemishes. Since using this followed by the Cetaphil spf 50 moisturiser my skin has cleared up and left me with a more even skin tone. I like the fact that it does not lather too much as it means it is less drying. It does not remove make up. I recommend removing make up with micellar water on a pad first and then using this. It is very reasonably priced compared to other cleansers! Highly recommend

This is a nice cleanser but it doesnt do the miracles on me that people rave about on u tube. I have very dry hypersensitive skin and it hasnt broken me out and does moisturise my face when washing with it but it doesnt solve my skin conditions anyone else who has very very sensitive skin stay away from the cetaphil lotion as i bought these and used them together and i worked out after a double dose of the lotion that it was breaking me out it actually left burn and abrasive marks on my skin so please becareful with the lotion but the wash seems fine

I have dry/combination skin and used to have pretty bad acne, but now just get the occasional breakout mostly due to hormones/stress. I actually wish I had discovered this cleanser earlier, as I previously thought that a cleanser needed to foam on the skin to actually cleanse it - foaming cleansers actually dry out the skin, and so are more suited to oily skin types. I have tried many high-end and drugstore cleansers, as well as cleansers that my facialist recommends, and so far this is the *only* one that works. It is completely fragrance-free (completely scentless when you sniff it), oh-so-gentle and most importantly does not leave my skin feeling tight. My dermatologist even implores his patients to buy it, now that it is available in the UK in pharmacies (and even cheaper on Amazon!).
