Cute but not as fun as you would think for the price.
There are a lot of this kind of product on the market. That being said you would expect something extra from a device of this price offering this touch function. This "tablet" doesn't offer much in comparison. It also takes a longgg time to charge and the product doesn't come with a case to keep the loose cards or cable in. Its also not as sensitive to the touch as some books that have the touch feature for example which could be a little frustrating to a toddler. IMO there are better options for half the price available.

A good concept, in reality it just ends up getting destroyed
Maybe this is fine for an older kid, but I also feel like it's a bit young for an older kid and they would be past this kind of toy. For my three year old though it works okay, the problem is that he wants to pull out the cards and once he does he destroys them. It really needs a way of being sealed or something so they can't take the cards out. Otherwise this is a closely supervised activity only.

Great learning tool- screen free !
My daughter is learning to read, how to sound out words, recognize colors, numbers.. still very early in her school years. I’m trying to find ways to keep her interested without relying on a tablet or tv as she is already well versed in using one and will get bored or “zone out” quickly. With 3 older teenagers on their cell phones 24-7 we are trying to delay her for as long as possible. This is a good compromise- it’s interactive, talks to her, allows her to choose a card to learn about without using a screen. She e have found the sound quality on the lower volume to be quite good and plenty loud enough for her. She enjoys the bright colors and I like that it’s easy enough that she can do it herself- even if I’m joining her, she wants to show me she can.. my only complaint and it’s very minor is the immediate and sometimes annoying prompt to insert a card. It takes her a little bit to choose the card, line it up and insert but the device is squawking to insert a card.. we just turn it off.

5-star but also 4-stars
The granddaughter is playing with this toy as I write this review which is so helpful. Let me lay out the 4 stars first: The facts for each item on the cards are not well thought out. They are more of an opinion and not educational. That takes away from the STEM aspect and should really be 3 stars. On the 2nd side of each card is a game. This is not well-thought out either. Some of the words that are being said are more of a mess. It's not pronunciation, it's more like 'made-up' words? which, when I put a question mark at the end of the previous sentence, it's like the buyer has to hear it to get what I mean. The game side of the card is also a bit confusing in the directions they are giving to the child. I say these things because this is a pricey toy, and the buyer should get what they pay for. It's tough enough to be a parent and find things to help a growing brain.BUT the toy is educational, and everything is not wrong or odd. There are plenty of flashcards that touch on many different subjects. Being double-sided does make it all the better as well which also helps a child to learn to use flashcards. Good if one wants to get away from screen time. It was well packaged for shipping and the box for the toy itself is not only gift-worthy but sturdy for storage. It is a great design with two volume settings (good for me!), appearance, and quality. I do like this overall, and I'm not opposed to the price as I see it presently, but it would be nice to offer a coupon or discount code due to the 4-star issues I see.
