PlayStation 4 Slim 500GB Console [Discontinued] (Renewed)

This is my first PS4 for myself. I bought this so me and my brother wouldn't have to make some sort of schedule of when we could each play our games on the PS4 in his room, as he plays far more than I do. As someone who only owns maybe a total of 4 games, 500GB works for me. If I ever need more, I will simply buy a TB external drive. The PS4 and controller itself honestly look brand new to me. They work perfectly, there were no issues in starting it up, and my brother was able to transfer my save data (that he HADN'T deleted for his own games ;-;). I've only played Persona 5 and the first Attack on Titan game on this console, but they both ran smoothly. I'm overall extremely happy and satisfied with my PS4! The stand did NOT come with this PS4. I purchased it separately.

gave it 2 stars because the console and accessories are clean and appear to be in excellent condition like it describes. the controller even comes with the little plastic protective peel-off film on the touchpad. the issue is, even though it looks like it is in excellent condition, it does not operate like it is. the first issue i noticed was with the controller. the right trigger button is so sensitive, all it takes it a little shake of the controller and it activates. you cannot rest your finger on it without activating it. contacted seller, and they sent a replacement to try before sending the original back. the replacement would not charge, and the controller battery status on the playstation was showing a question mark. it acts like the battery isn't even there. how does this happen when everything is supposed to be checked? seller offered to send yet another replacement, or give me a partial refund. they are trying to make it right, but if they dont give me enough of a refund to purchase another controller, i will be stuck trying another one from them. the second issue is, i noticed a random screen flash while playing. i changed the HDMI cable to one that i had, and it didn't help. i noticed it would flash more when plugging the cable into the system. wiggling the port on the system made it worse, so the port is loose. probably has a bad solder point. i had to position the console in a way to support the cable in the back of the console instead of letting it hang behind the dresser where it is sitting. seller offered to take the console back for repair or replacement. im sure this process will take quite a while, so i am letting my son get a little playing time on it first since it was a xmas gift for him. the seller has been very accommodating, and responds quick to messages, but its just disappointing to have these kinds of issues with a console that is rated as "excellent". this rating should describe how it functions, not just how it looks Updating to 1 star. Still dealing with this. Got a replacement console and controller from seller. Controller is greasy and has food on it. Console would not read any disc I put in it. In order to get it to read the disc, I had to turn the console on its side. So the eye is getting stuck. Honestly, are these even really refurbished? Because how do you say it is refurbished in excellent condition if you don’t even put a disc in it to make sure it works. sending back for a refund and taking my business elsewhere

Truly a great service! I got my brother the ps4 as a gift in September of last year, and he’s been using it since then to play video games. It came with everything you need to get it going and running, great colors, no issues with the ps4 at all.

Shipped very well in bubble wrap. Everything works as it should. Would recommend

The product is perfect now, everything is working as expected. Also looks like new.

The product is listed as “renewed”, has a “factory recertified” sticker on the Side of the console but the condition this system and all of its components are in I would swear is brand new! Not a scuff or fingerprint mark anywhere on the console and controller. Even the power cable, hdmi cable and controller cord, while definitely repackaged from their original bags are tied and strapped together like new! Even when unwrapping the wires, they hang like I just bought them! No oily or bruising on anything. Truth be told I haven’t written a review in forever but this impressed me so much I had to share my gratefulness and enjoyment! 5 stars all the way! My fingers are crossed!
