It's on the firmer side, but the foam is soft enough that it doesn't feel like you're sleeping on a rock. It's definitely more of a side sleeper pillow...the shelf it makes is a good height for your neck if you're on your side, but it might give you a crick in your neck if you try sleeping with it on your back. I tried buying this at Kohls online initially because I liked it in store but they did not stock it, and they sent me a different, horribly hard pillow with a quilted texture which I returned. I'm glad I found this here, and the Amazon price is literally half of what Kohls was charging. This pillow isn't for everyone, but I love it.

I'm 6'2", lean, no issues with snoring, I do sleep 100% on my sides due to a chronic back injury. I cannot sleep on my back or stomach anymore. I've had issues with a rotator cuff injury and can't sleep with my right arm out.Other pillows have not supplied enough support to my neck. I end up rolling from my left to right side a dozen times a night.Since getting this pillow I only turn one or two times, and I wake up feeling rested. It's perfectly comfortable and doesn't make my head sweat.likewise, I appreciate the ability to zip the outer shell up to make this already substantial pillow thicker.It's heavy, which might not appeal to some, but I love the weight.I ALSO very much appreciate it was made in the USA.

I really liked this pillow at first, I sleep on my sides for reference, saw a lot of comments about it being bad for back sleepers. But I've had this pillow for less than a year and it already has permanent crimps that arent fluffing out even after I unzip it and leave it untouched all day. Don't know if there is a way to prevent this or fix it, I didnt see any other comments with the same complaint.

This pillow is way too firm and way too thick. It's almost 8" thick with no give. This was while it was unzipped which, according to their advertising, .means it'll be softer. I can't imagine what this pillow would be had I zipped it. Against my better judgement, I slept on it anyways. I guess I was hoping that it would give a little. It did not. I woke up with a massive headache and my neck so stiff, I couldn't move without extreme pain.This pillow is just two cooling mats with a ton of shredded memory foam in between them. The manufacturer would be better off adding another zipper to the filled portion so filling could be removed.Over all, terrible design and terrible product.

I like the pillow it is a little firm! It is cool when flip!, it stays cooler than my past pillow!
