I don’t usually write reviews except if something is really bad, so here I go. I’ve bought many self tanners most of them not that cheap. I usually get a good color from them as I normally tan very easily in the sun, but knocking on the door of 60’s I need to stay out of tanning beds and the sun. I hate how most self tanners transfer on items, mostly my towels even though I exfoliate my skin in the shower it still transfers on my towels. Also, a lot of self tanners will really get into some of my wrinkly creases (folds of arms mostly) and look almost dirt like. This tanning gel is crazy! Glides on so nicely, smell is not too bad and color comes out great. It dries quickly and looks great! I highly recommend this product…oh and the price is awesome!

Out of all of the self-tanners I have used, this one is the best by far. I purchased the gel, face spray, and mitt kit. I was a little worried about the gel being clear, but I could feel exactly where I applied it and didn’t have any streaking or issues. It had a better smell than other tanners. It was a less aggressive tanner scent and smelled somewhat like a weak suntan lotion. I followed the directions and, after just one application, received a nice light sun-kissed look. I applied it two more times and it was perfect for me. It dried almost immediately and did not come off on my clothes like others. It lasted about two weeks before I started to see fading. I definitely recommend it.

Not a huge review-writer but felt like I should do one for this tanning gel because I know that I meticulously read reviews before buying something new, so maybe I could help others. I’ll preface this by saying that I’m not a fake tan expert, I only started fake tanning last summer with a mousse from Tanceuticals recommended to me by my MIL. The results of that product are great, but the process overall is kind of sticky & uncomfortable- which I kind of thought was the norm for fake tanning! I somewhat randomly decided to try this tanning gel and I’m impressed! Some pros: - easy application, if you’ve applied fake tan or any regular lotion before, you can do this. It’s not hard lol. (Use the mitt!) - great smell! I don’t use a lot of scents on my body because I have sensitive skin, but this has such a light, clean, refreshing, fruity scent! - it dries quickly & leaves very little to no stickiness. Definitely no color transfer onto clothing or sheets/towels. A very comfortable experience. - even after it dries, it left my skin feeling really nice, not like a deep creamy moisturizer but the kind of feeling you’d expect from a nice gel serum, which seems obvious I guess lol - the color is great! A very natural color, not orangey at all. I got the ultra dark which lowkey scared me because I felt like it’d be too much, but it was perfect and I feel like it kept developing/enhancing the color as the days went on. I applied it on Sunday night & last night (Tuesday) when I got in the shower I looked in the mirror & thought that it looked even better! Again, not too dark, still very natural, but definitely deepens in color as time goes on (in my experience). - it truly is “no rinse.” I applied it on a Sunday night after a shower where I exfoliated my whole body and then applied lotion to my elbows, knees, and ankles (as suggested on the bottle). I didn’t shower again until Monday night, probably 24+ hours later. No color drains off of you, even using soap, and did not leave me looking streaky at all. (Plus, last night I used a salicylic acid spray on my back (trying to prevent some summer time back-acne) and it did not strip the color either. I’m using it cautiously though). - my feet/ankles & hands have always been the hardest to master when it comes to fake tan. They’ve always looked bad or “good enough” for me but with this gel, it’s the best they’ve ever looked! - I think the size/amount is great for the price. It doesn’t take a lot of gel to apply to the whole body, you don’t need a thick layer in my experience. The only con: - the nozzle/pump didn’t work. I had to unscrew it completely and just dump out the gel onto the mitt. Not the biggest deal, but would’ve been 5+ stars if that had worked & it would’ve been a perfect process & product. Yay tannning! I should’ve taken before/after pics. :(

You read on here all the time - I don’t usually do reviews - I’m really that person. But when shopping for a self tanner I truly relied on reviews to help me decide what was going to work best for me! I was terrified before the first application - what if I stain streaky? What if I turn orange? What if this gets all over my clothes! After scouring the internet about this particular clear gel product here’s my run down so you don’t have to waste four hours of your life putting all the pieces together - I did it for you. 1. This product is well worth its weight in gold - over and over and over. For every single day im not naturally sun kissed bronze - b.tan clear gel is my go to. 3. Invest $5 in a box of latex gloves. Those work hand over fist better than any tan mit they sell and they don’t absorb and waste the product. 2. Lather one limb at a time in a post sun lotion I used the green hawiaan tropic post sun lotion. One limb at a time. Then when it’s semi dry add the clear gel. Left leg lotion. Left leg clear gel. You get the picture. The lotion helps distribute the product evenly. I have zero splotching or streaking. Like ever. 3. Light layer of lotion on tops of hands and feet, then clear gel with a flat make up brush. Brilliant results. 4. Light layer of make up brush applied gel on the face, neck and shoulders. 5. When your done dispose of the gloves and wash just the palms of your hands so you don’t have bronze arms and pasty hands. 6. Air dry and then literally move about your day. No transfer. No fuss. Just beautiful hydrated skin that looks like you just returned from the tropics. Do it. You won’t be disappointed.

Hi! I purchased this product to get a quick, noticeable tan and to avoid long hours of needless sun or UV rays exposure and the expense of tanning sessions. This was my FIRST experience with a self-tanning product of any kind (e.g., lotions, gels, mousses, serums, etc.). Overall, the glow this tanning gel gives you is AMAZING. As a clear gel, you probably wouldn't anticipate the results this self-tanner provides. Ultimately, the product will bronze your skin, but it will also leave a faint orangey undertone. Importantly, both a downside and an upside of this product IS that the gel is clear. So, although it is transfer-resistant, there is no guide to show where you have and have not applied the product. Below are longer explanations related to the product's moisturization, scent, and use. When first applied, the product's scent is coconut-like and pleasant. However, an hour after the application, the dried gel smelled odd. Unfortunately, the smell does not disappear. Instead, it clings to you. I could smell it on my skin and asked a friend whether or not they could detect the odor. Admittedly, my friend pressed their nose almost directly against my skin, but they could also smell it. Although scents rarely bother me, eventually, the product began to smell undeniably unpleasant. At last, I showered and scrubbed myself twice, but the smell lingers. If you are sensitive to smells or odors, reconsider purchasing and using this product. Fortunately, the product did not irritate my skin. Although the product claims to "give you the juiciest, moisturized glow," I did not find it moisturizing. But the gel did NOT dry out my skin either. Admittedly, I did not purchase this product for its supposed moisturizing benefits. Ultimately, its lack of moisturization does not upset me. Indeed, other customers might have thought it to be moisturizing. Overall, there are several points I want to address. First, I want to emphasize the "rinse-free" label. The product states that it is a "rinse-free" tan gel, and IT IS. However, I experienced some confusion during my first application. I purchased a bundle that included the tanning gel and an application mitt. The two items arrived together in a plastic package that directs you to rinse off the gel after setting it for several hours. During my first application, I only applied the gel to my legs. Eventually, I rinsed off (i.e., without using soap) and dried off with a towel. I discovered large, discolored smears where I had wiped the gel off my legs. Although the gel was dry, it did not react well after rinsing. Overall, IF you purchase the tanning gel and mitt bundle, please DO NOT RINSE ALTHOUGH THE BUNDLE BAG INSTRUCTS YOU. The Glow Your Own Way bottle states that it is rinse-free. After my second application on my upper body, I wore the gel for twenty-four hours before showering. So, how did the tan react to a complete shower (i.e., with soap)? It reacted well! My skin has a moderate bronze tone. Several of the uneven dark patches disappeared. Ultimately, I cannot guarantee the longevity of this tan. But I predict it will last three to four more showers. The second point I want to address is the non-transfer guarantee. I found the "transfer-resistant" claim to be TRUE. Since the gel is clear, immediate transfers will not happen. However, I recommend waiting about thirty minutes until the gel absorbs before lying or sitting on furniture. I did not test that hypothesis; it is merely precautionary advice. My clothes did not stain. However, I did rest my forearms against my thighs several times, and the gel did transfer to my skin while it was tacky. The last point I want to mention is the method of application. Although the bottle encourages you to, I did not use my bare hands to apply the product. (Considering how it stained my skin in several spots, I do NOT suggest using your bare hands). Instead, during the first application, I used a rubber glove. If you use a rubber glove, you will not waste as much product since the gel does not absorb into the mitt. However, you will NOT need to dispense as much product onto your rubber glove. If you use a tanning mitt, you will use more product as it absorbs into the fabric. However, as a first-time self-tanner, I found the application easier with a mitt than a rubber glove. I believe I applied the gel more evenly with the mitt. Therefore, I recommend using an applicator mitt with this product.

I am a fair skinned blond that decided to tan without the risk of cancer. I bought this product and waited for the orange to appear. Wow, it really didn’t! My arms and legs are tan. It looks realistic! It took me about 4 applications to get a nice sun-kissed look. About the smell - it has a nice coconut smell that covers up the weird smell. It’s not as bad as some tanning lotions. About the color transfer - it doesn’t. My white clothes stay white and my sheets are white. Awesome! I highly recommend this product.

I wanted a more natural way to tan plus a quicker way to tan that doesn’t require hours sitting in the sun. I’m also not a fan of tanning booths so when I seen this, I had to try it!! Also, did you see the price and all the rest of the reviews? No wonder this product is so highly rated and bought. This Self Tan gives me a beautiful even tan. So beautiful it’s my favorite. The smell can sometimes be a little too much but I am fine paying that price to get a dreamy tan. It’s also worth the compliments I get too. I’m told I look glowy, healthy and happy. Sometimes I’m asked if I’m pregnant because I guess it gives me a pregnancy glow???? LOL I am so curious to try the darker shade too. So I will be buying that shade the next time I need it. Truly, my favorite self tanner that has become a staple in my routine. Hehe.

This was my first time self-tanning in over 15 years, and I was honestly nervous—but this B.Tan gel made it so easy. The application was smooth, beginner-friendly, and completely streak-free, which I did not expect at all. The color turned out beautiful, natural-looking, and best of all—it’s buildable, so you can deepen your tan without it looking patchy or uneven. The face mist is also AMAZING. Pro tip: after applying, lightly buff your face, neck, and ears with a big fluffy makeup brush. I did the same for my hands, feet, knees, ankles, and elbows, and it helped everything blend seamlessly. Another huge plus—it smells really good, doesn’t need to be washed off, and didn’t transfer onto my clothes at all. I got so many compliments on my glow! My only complaint is that the glove ripped after my second use and now has a hole, which is disappointing because I really loved the dual sides (smooth and microfiber) for getting an even finish. That’s the only reason I gave 4 stars. Overall, I will absolutely be purchasing this again. It gave me confidence and such a pretty, natural tan with very little effort. Also adorable packaging! Photos below of what I looked like before, after the first tan, and after second buildable layer I did a day later! Then a picture of me next to my pale husband lol!

I’m on my third bottle and this is honestly my new holy grail. I have sensory sensibilities so all the self tanners I tried, very few fit the bill. This one: doesn’t smell strong, doesn’t streak, easily applicable, dries fast and best of all, NO RINSE NEEDED! I absolutely LOVE this gel. The only tip I have is, apply body lotion everywhere BEFORE the gel! I never had any streaks that way, just a natural tan. I’m pretty fair and once or twice a week is all need to keep my glow. 10/10

I did it for the first time yesterday and kept in on for 6-7 hours before showering and till the next day my skin is tanned and shiny. I love it I bought another and my first bottle is still full!
