Fantastic Service!
SYNC Gold Wireless Meat Thermometer Review First Impressions I recently purchased the **SYNC Gold Wireless Meat Thermometer** and was immediately impressed with the productโs sleek design and build quality. The packaging was sturdy and the contents were well organized, reflecting a premium standard right from unboxing. The thermometer felt durable in the hand, with probes that seemed robust and wires that appeared ready to withstand the rigors of grilling and smoking. Performance & Ease of Use Setting up the thermometer was straightforward. It synced quickly with the receiver, and the wireless range was excellent โ I could monitor my cook from inside the house without worrying about losing the signal. The display was clear and easy to read, even in bright sunlight. The thermometer responded quickly to temperature changes, giving me confidence in its accuracy. Whether I was smoking brisket low and slow or grilling steaks at high heat, it consistently provided reliable readings, helping me hit the perfect level of doneness every time. Customer Service Experience What truly set this experience apart was the **outstanding customer service**. I encountered a minor issue where one of the probes wasnโt reading quite right. I reached out to their support team and was met with a prompt, professional, and genuinely helpful response. They not only diagnosed the issue swiftly but also offered a hassle-free solution that exceeded my expectations. Itโs rare these days to see a company stand so firmly behind its product โ they were determined to make it right and did so with remarkable courtesy and speed. ### โ Overall Satisfaction Between the productโs performance and the companyโs commitment to customer satisfaction, I can wholeheartedly recommend the **SYNC Gold Wireless Meat Thermometer** to anyone looking to up their grilling or smoking game. Great thermometer with one limitation: insert it to the line.
I have enjoyed using this thermometer. Yes, it the most expensive thermometer I have ever purchased but the build quality is amazing. It looks very high end. All parts are beautifully finished and appear solid. It comes with 2 wireless probes. Each probe has 6 thermal sensors. Its best use is in a THICK cut of meat or fish. The probes are much thicker than a usual thermometer. The probe is just over 5 inches long. There is a line indicating the proper insertion point just short of 3 inches. Supposedly the probes are IPX8 rated and will stand immersion (but I wouldn't use it in my instant pot pressure cooker). The tips communicate via bluetooth to the base station which looks like a very thick smart phone which then connects to wifi for transmission anywhere in your phone. The Ap is easy to use and set up. The tips charge when they are inside the base station. The base station charges via USB-C cable (wall charger not included.) I have not found battery life to be an issue. You can start and monitor a cook either on the base station or on the ap. So convenient. Using the probes in a roast I found the base station could be about 25 feet away with the oven door closed. Using the probe inside of a stainless steel dutch oven I found the base station needed to be much closer, only a few feet away. When the food is done you get a loud alert. The description on Amazon states the probes are rated to withstand 932 degrees, but the instruction in the package states it's only good for 2 minutes. I asked Typhur support what this means. They were extremely responsive (via email) and what they said was the part of the probe that sticks into the food (from the tip to the insertion line) is good to 105 C (221 degrees F) and the part of the probe that sticks out from the insertion line to the handle is good indefinitely at 932. YOU CANNOT LEAVE THE TIP ON A HOT GRILL. The reading is accurate, but it is not an instant read thermometer which means you will need to get used to taking food out at a lower temp than your intended finish temp. There is a "smart mode" which compensates for this as it somehow predicts when you should remove your food in order to not overshoot your target temp. What you get with this system is freedom: No wires to pull the thermometer out every time you turn the food or check on it. You can watch the temp while you have a dinner party, and it will calculate a projected done time, then alarm you at your selected done temp. I have used this in steaks, prime rib, chicken and Cornish game hens without a problem. The limitation is that you can't just stick it partway in whatever you are cooking. I learned this the hard way baking a russet potato. It was hard to stick the probe in and I missed full insertion to the line by about an eighth of an inch. I set the thermometer to alert at 205 degrees and set it to bake in a 400-degree oven. When temperature of the potato reached about 188 degrees the unit gave a loud alarm that the probe was overheating and needed to be removed immediately. This was a disappointing surprise even though it was my fault. (I hope they redesign the probe to make the insertion requirement a shorter length. If you insert it into a small fillet mignon it will almost poke out the other end!) I have used it on the grill inserting it to the mark and it performed flawlessly without overheating. I would rate this unit 5 stars provided you insert the probe all the way to the line. Some food items will be too small or too tough for the probe. If you can't insert the probe properly you will surely be disappointed! It's a great thermometer on the right foods. I must say the customer service at Typhur leaves me speechless: when they became aware of my recent problem baking a potato they offered a FULL REFUND. 10 star customer service. Addendum Feb 2025: I discovered another use for this thermometer: I travel with extremely expensive injectable medications that require storage and transport at 36-46 degrees F. I packed my meds into an "insulin cooler travel case" along with frozen gel packs and put the case in my carry-on. I packed the Typhur in with my checked baggage. After getting the luggage, I inserted one probe into the center of the travel case allowing me to verify temp. At the destination hotel, I was able to monitor and adjust the refrigerator temp and move the meds as needed to get the right temperature. I don't know how I could have done this without a wireless thermometer and was thankful for the NIST certification. (I discovered that tiny hotel refrigerators can easily get too cold at the top and too warm at the bottom.) The probes and the base unit have almost 24 hours of charge. By alternating probes, I was able to monitor the medication temperature continuously throughout the trip. It was a small investment to protect literally thousands of dollars of medication.

This is what a probe thermometer should be โ accurate, reliable, and actually useful
Typhur Dual Probe โ A Serious Outdoor Cook's Review โ โ โ โ โ I own a RecTeq Bullseye Deluxe and a Traeger Pro 34. I've been cooking on pellet grills long enough to know that a good probe thermometer is the difference between a great cook and an expensive mistake. I upgraded to the Typhur Gold Dual Probe from a standard ThermoPro and the difference was immediately noticeable. --- THE COOK --- First real test was pork chops and ribeyes on the RecTeq Bullseye โ 1-inch thick cuts, seared at 700ยฐF then finished at 450ยฐF. The Typhur handled the full temperature range without complaint, giving me real-time readings through both phases of the cook. The app told me to pull the pork chops at 140ยฐF and started a rest timer automatically โ carryover heat brought them to a perfect 145ยฐF. No guessing, no cutting into them to check, no dried out pork. Just perfectly juicy chops every time. --- WIFI STABILITY --- This is where the Typhur genuinely impressed me. WiFi connectivity is rock solid โ more stable than any other wireless device I've tested in my setup. I'm running Starlink in a rural area and have had connectivity issues with other wireless devices over the years. The Typhur stayed connected throughout every cook without a single dropout. That kind of reliability matters when you're walking away from the grill and trusting the probe to tell you when to come back. --- DUAL PROBE VALUE --- Having two probes changes how you cook. One in the meat, one monitoring grill temp โ you get a complete picture of what's happening inside the grill rather than relying on the lid thermometer, which on most grills reads hotter or cooler than actual grate temperature. On the RecTeq Bullseye running at 700ยฐF for a sear, knowing the actual grate temp versus the set temp gave me real confidence in the cook. --- THE APP --- Clean, intuitive, and genuinely useful. The pull temperature recommendations and automatic rest timer are well thought out โ this isn't just a digital display, it's a cooking guide built around the probe data. The rest timer in particular is a feature I didn't know I needed until I had it. --- COMPARED TO THERMOPRO --- The ThermoPro is a capable tool but and has served me well, but no app and wifi were issues --- BOTTOM LINE --- If you're serious about pellet grill cooking โ or any grilling โ the Typhur Dual Probe is the tool you've been missing. Accurate, reliable WiFi, a genuinely useful app, and dual probes that give you the complete picture of your cook. My pork chops and steaks have never been better. Highly recommended.

Worth the money, and get to case to protect it.
This is a great monitor for grilling. Has the ability to go long term for smoking and works well thru the grill with the lid closed. Very stable connection and on the base has the ability to check battery strength all thru the cook. Cleans up easily when you are done and look new after. (versus wired thermometers) smoke wipes off easily. I like putting the monitor in the kitchen as I have to walk by it numerous times during the day without walking outside to the smoker. I just glance at it. The phone app is even better as it shows the entire cook in a graphic way, even the estimated done time.

Quick Review of Item
I have used many grill thermometers/monitors while cooking pork butts for pulled pork. Prices ranging from $10 - $100. The decision for this purchase took me some time to make due to the cost. Right off the bat I am super happy that I did. It is by far the most superior grilling Meat Thermometer on the market. The build quality is through the roof. The probes are heavy and made to withstand a really good amount of heat. I have had no issues with bluetooth or wi-fi connectivity at all. While using it, the probes have multiple areas in them where you can get readings from the tip to the ceramic end. This is really helpful because not only are you getting the measurement for the temperature of your meat but it also gives you the external heat measurement of the surrounding area. I use a pellet grill and this right there is important. This allows you to make sure that your grill is working properly and helps to make sure you are not running too hot. I mainly use this for pulled pork and roasts where the meat is going to be on the grill for 10 to 16 hrs. The Wi-Fi and bluetooth allows me to monitor the grill from anywhere. And when I say from anywhere, I mean from anywhere. The app you install on your phone lets you monitor the temps while you sit in your living room waiting for dinner or from the grocery store if you have to make a quick trip via the internet. I was able to check my grill while being 14 miles away at a friends house to drop off some items. (Wife was still home, DO NOT LEAVE GRILL UNATTENDED) The app also has a system that can recommend cooking times and temps for you if you do not already know what you want. It is done by selecting what type of protein, cut and doneness you want for the outcome. Build quality is super nice. The base unit is heavy being made from a solid plastic encased in a nice aluminum frame. Batter life is really good. I have yet to run out of juice while using this item. It can be used in both grilling and while utilizing an oven. Does not matter. Hope this helps with any questions you may have. Happy grilling/cooking.

Helpful app to keep track on cook status
Suspicious of the variance of the temperature readings when the probes are inches away from each other. But good results in the cook.

Best Wireless Thermometer Available โ Accurate, Easy to Use, and Backed by Fantastic Support
TL;DR My first Typhur Sync unit quit working, but Typhurโs outstanding customer support replaced it immediately. The new unit has been perfectโsuper accurate, truly wireless, long-range, and paired with one of the best cooking apps Iโve ever used. After weeks of use, I can confidently say itโs the best wireless meat thermometer on the market. Highly recommended. I can't wait to save up the money for their Dome Air Fryer! ------------ If youโre looking for the best wireless meat thermometer available today, the Typhur Sync Gold Wireless WiFi Meat Thermometer with 2 Slim Probes is, without exaggeration, the top of the list. After owning and using multiple wireless thermometers over the yearsโand dealing with connection issues, slow readings, and unreliable sensorsโthis one finally gets everything right. To start, I want to mention something important. The original unit I purchased actually stopped working after a short period of use. I was frustrated initially, but that changed quickly once I reached out to Typhur. Their customer support was nothing short of amazingโresponsive, friendly, and committed to making sure I was taken care of. Within days, they shipped me a brand-new unit at no cost, and that level of support alone made me a lifelong customer. Companies rarely go above and beyond anymore, but Typhur truly did. Now, onto the actual productโbecause the replacement unit has been flawless. The probes are slim, comfortable to insert into any cut of meat, and incredibly accurate. The readings are fast, precise, and consistentโwithin a fraction of a degreeโand Iโve tested them side-by-side with other thermometers just out of curiosity. Wherever other brands fluctuate or lag, the Typhur Sync stays rock-solid. When youโre cooking brisket for 8-12 hours, or monitoring reverse-sear steaks, precision matters, and this device nails it. The connectivity is the part that really sets it apart. Wi-Fi + wireless capability means that once paired, I can monitor food temperatures from anywhereโinside, outside, upstairs, or even while running errands. My connection has never dropped, never lagged, and never desynced. That alone is worth the price. The app, thoughโWOW. This is where Typhur really outperforms competitors. The interface is clean, polished, intuitive, and genuinely helpful. The live graphs are awesome, especially for long cooks where you want to visually track temperature movement. There are built-in cook programs, suggested doneness targets, and alerts that trigger exactly when you're approaching your desired temp. No guesswork. No standing outside checking a smoker every five minutes. And no overcooking expensive cuts because you misjudged internal temperature. For usability, everything feels thoughtfully designed. The probes slide in easily, the base sits solidly wherever you put it, and the display is bright and readable. The battery life has impressed me as wellโafter multiple cooks, both short and long, it still hasnโt run low. Since getting the replacement, I've used this thermometer on ribeyes, turkey breast, pork tenderloin, chicken, brisket, salmon, and even sourdough bread. Every time, the results have been on point. When I pull meat at exactly the right temp, the difference in tenderness and juiciness is real, and thatโs where accuracy pays off. Many wireless thermometers promise greatness; this one actually delivers. Pros: Extremely accurate probe readings Fantastic range with reliable connectivity App is polished, smart, and feature-rich Two slim probes make multi-protein tracking easy Excellent customer support (seriously, the best!) Great build quality and battery life Cons: None after replacing my first defective unit And honestly, even though my first device failed, the quick replacement and high level of communication turned that into a positive experience, not a negative one. If you're a smoker enthusiast, a weekend griller, a sous-vide user, or just someone who hates guessing when meat is doneโthis thermometer is worth every penny. Prices may vary, but even at the high end, you absolutely get what you pay for.

Excellent product, Great customer support!
Great product, AMAZING customer service. This is a very user friendly thermometer, simple in design and look. Even though I had a small issue I would still buy it again and recommend,HIGHLY! After I ordered and was using this for a bit I was getting some strange readings. Reached out to customer service and they responded right away with some ideas to check it out. After their help did not work, I reached out again and they replaced it. Was not expecting that at all. They were quick to respond but even quicker to try to make it right even when I was not expecting it. Would recommend !

Wifi Game Change
Significantly better than the Meater i was using with only bluetooth that kept losing connection. The Wifi is as advertised and can check you cook anywhere - game changer when your smoker is on a roof deck and your kitchen is 3 levels down. Thermometer accruate, using it on smart mode helpful though I usually go 10 degrees less than suggested. Easy to use and setup a cook - fantastic product. Also want to add their customer support has been fantastic even when lost a probe shipped out new one in a day no issues. I am a Typhur customer for life

Finally, a set of wireless thermometers that work!
I tried the Meater, and it was terrible. Terribly expensive and terrible in function. But the Typher is the beeโs knees. It works flawlessly, has great broadcast power and distance. Well done! (Not the meat, the thermometers.)
