The set-up is very easy and the grow light system is on an automatic timer, making the unit very low maintenance once the seeds are planted and they begin to germinate. The unit is also extremely quiet and very energy efficient. I thought I might see an uptick in my electricity bill since the lighting functions for 16 hours on, 8 hours off, and the water pump turns on and off at 30-minute intervals continuously, but my electricity bill has not been impacted at all. The best thing is how much fun it is to watch the planted items grow and thrive.
