Full gym size workout up to 300 lb
These are the steps boards that are used in commercial gyms and are full-size. I'm advanced at step aerobics and I would STRONGLY suggest not buying the more condensed, cheaper, circuit size boards as they MAY TIP OVER if you do higher impact moves... and aren't as friendly if you misstep on the edge of the board thereby inadvertently tipping the board over . The smaller circuit size boards also limit your natural range of motion ... This keeps your muscles from being able to stretch out to their full ability. As someone who does advanced step I would not recommend the smaller circuit step sizes and I would go for the bigger board like this one . I've been working on this size board for about 20 years and have always wanted one for home use. There is a name brand you can go with and I don't think it's worth the extra money .. unless you need a board weighted up to 500 pounds. This board is weighed up to 300 pounds. And while it is slightly heavy .. that's actually a good thing because you want it solid on the ground . I have carpeting and no issues. They give you four risers to vary workout intensity. The Rubber platform does not have grooves on it so less dirt is trapped and keeps your board looking nice. This board could easily last five or more years with regular gentle use an occasional wipe down of the mat . Never put cleaning spray or any sort of shiny coat on it as you may slip from the oil. I prefer the gray and black color scheme because it blends into my furniture... I live in a small space and keep the board under my dining room table.

Best step you'll ever get!
THEE perfect step! I love that you can purchase additional risers if you choose to. This is wicked sturdy and the top is fully covered with grip. I have no worries about jumping on and off of this. It is a little clumsy to move around as one piece. Just move the stop and then the risers is my suggestion.
