Nuwave Pro Plus 2 Infra-Red Oven, Countertop, Convection, 360 Surround Heat

This is my second one I have perchased. I use this all the time for cooking and reheating left overs - It cooks fast and doesn't dry out the foods - the flavor seals in the meats and keeps them tender - It cleans easy - I do use parchment paper in the bottom for ease of cleaning - do not neglect to keep the dome cleaned because grease will bake to the sides and become very hard to get off - When using this oven it does not heat up the kitchen like a normal oven does - It is also great for a camper too

I use this thing every day (sometimes twice — mostly to make pizza. I need to really learn this thing. Okay, so it blows hot air from the top and that circulates down and around. It contains the smells of cooking food (for the most part), and I am not sure how. It is "loud" in that it sounds like a fan on high, but that is the only sound. Dead-simple to use: power on, hit the temp button. Type in a number (I like 450). Hit the time button. 15 minutes pops up automatically. You can change that just by typing a number. Also, the reheat button is super-easy: Power on, press REHEAT, press START. Blam! 4 minutes at 350. It really is large enough for a (very large) chicken, and with the extender ring (you really want to get that), you can conceivably cook a medium turkey. I have not tried that yet. It's essentially a convection oven that seems to cook evenly. French fries are "good" but nothing compares with a deep fryer. Still, if you want to avoid ALL of the hassles of frying with oil, this is very close. You can make quesadillas, toast, and whatever normal things you can in an air fryer or convection oven/toaster oven. A quick note on durability. Given the design, you want to be careful manhandling it (the amber plastic "shield?" is durable but not indestructible, so just treat it with respect). I was able to be a bit more rough with my old regular air fryer, but this has a lot more room. As to functionality: well, it's a convection oven right? so yeah, it just works. I think it is a great value for the money. I **strongly recommend** a lot of aluminum foil. tear off a large square and lay that on the bottom (I know this thing is circular) and it will make cleaning much easier. you will want a stout grill brush to clean the grill, but for the most part this stays pretty clean. There are also recipe books for this, but really it is just an air-fryer/convection oven, so yeah, just normal recipes. This saves you so much space versus a regular oven and it cooks food fast. Combine this with an Instant and you are set! Anyway, I love love love this thing. I know you will too.

This is a great oven. Cooks fast, easy to use, many heating levels easy to clean with a large enough capacity. This is my third Nuwave oven in about 15-20 years. I would have given this one 5 stars however the description states it's an air fryer too, but no where in the brochure does it say that.

I bought this air fryer in an attempt to replace a jet stream oven. I think it comes in a close second to the jet stream. I don't like that this air fryer only goes to 350 degrees but I've learned to live with it. We mainly do chicken and pork steak in it and it turns out great every time! It came with a great recipe book that has good looking stuff, but I haven't used it yet. I've never used oil in it and it only takes 20 minutes to fully cook pieces of chicken. It only takes 20-25 minutes to cook a thick pork steak.

Really loving this new version of the oven. I purchased this oven over 15 years ago, it is a kitchen appliance staple for us. This oven is worth every dime spent.

I bought this to be healthier and eco-conscious. I have a well-trained careworker come weekly, and she followed all of the instructions to make the first meal with it, but it briefly started, then stopped then re-started, then the inner electronics blew up partially melting the upper housing even before reaching cooking temperature. It is a nice idea, but shortcuts are made in manufacturing that make it a very risky choice. That is worsened by the company politely NOT accepting responsibility. Fortunately, Amazon was able to help. Our recommendation is that if you want to give one a try, be sure to use it (in the various modes as guided in the instructions), while in the return window. It is easy for the company to politely brush off an individual, but Amazon has more power to require them to be accountable.

Great purchase

So far, I’m loving this model which has been upgraded & working really well. This is now our third air fryer we’ve owned . I think we bought our first one in the early 2000s.? Back then it was called a jetstream oven. This Nuwave oven is a vast improvement from the first one we owned and looks so much nicer as well. I would highly recommend to anyone that wants to cook healthier ,faster, more cost-effective meals .

This machine is fantastic ! We love it and use it often. It is a healthy way of eating. We love to grill our meat on it. The food comes out very tasty. It is very easy to use and cleaning it is also easy. We highly recommend this machine!

this is our 2nd NuWave. it works very well. i havent quite got the hang of the new button sequence, but that is ok. hubby is the cook. :) the color is nice. not really my preference, but the aqua green, for me, is the least annoying. i sure wish i could wave a magic wand and get rid of the weird new 'popular' colors. they are so strange.
