Stays on and moisturizing
I use all kinds of lip "stuff." I live in the mtns and its very dry. If I bite my lips, I get cold sores. Im so glad I tried this product. It is very moisturizing and stays on a long time.

Favorite lip balm. Can be difficult to get out of the tube when it's almost empty.

I bought this to help heal a fever. Found out it also solved my dry lip problem.

Preventative, Not Treatment
This was helpful when I felt the common tingling sensation prior to a full-on cold sore. Quick and continued application often meant it would not appear. However, when this was used as the sole treatment during a breakout, it was painful (due to being in stick form, not ointment) and did not seem to help with pain or decrease the amount of time it lasted. Will keep current stick for preventative measures, but will not likely use during breakouts.

Smooth
It is smooth and keeps my lips soft. In the couple of weeks I have used it, I have not felt any tingling in so far as getting another cold sore. It has been a short time of use, but I am happy with the product and and can wear lipstick or lipgloss over it.
