Duru Traditional Hand Made Vegan Olive Oil Bar Soap, Pack of 5

These soaps are extremely beautiful and so well made. The olive oil ingredient is #1 for external skin care.

I typically use body wash and not bars but when I saw these, I thought I would give them a try. These are a nice option for my sensitive skin and while I'm not used to bars of soap that do not foam up, these did leave my skin feeling soft and clean. The odor is described as musky and a bit like olive oil which they are made of. The odor is not offensive and not strong, I don't feel as though I smell much of any of it once it's on my skin and dried off. I do like that these are made from natural ingredients and having some skin conditions I appreciate that. Overall, I do like these and would recommend them!

I an trying the Duru Traditional handmade soap made in Turkey and I am extremely surprised at how my skin and hair feel after using this!First know, this is handmade soap and it is a soft soap. It is wrapped in a package of 5 bars, and the bars are not individually wrapped. When I opened my package the top soap had probably been dropped around during the shipping process, and with the bars being soft, they arrived a little disfigured however this in no way effected the product! They just may not arrive looking like perfect bars of soap.The scent is described in the description as "light marine, slightly musky scent" and that is a very accurate description. To me it is a bit earthy. It is soft but that doesn't mean it gets all mushy because mine has not gotten that way. I noticed the package said for skin and hair so I tried it as a body and a hair soap and I am impressed with it! It left my skin feeling smooth and hydrated, even my feet which tend to be a little on the tough side. It did such a good job I did not apply lotion after my shower and even the next morning my skin and feet are soft and don't need lotion. For my hair, it sudsed up nicely but it wasn't quite as much as regular shampoo and when I rinsed it my hair did not have that silky feel, however when my hair dried it has been nice and smooth and it feels great and I am going to keep using it.I really like the way it made my skin feel after the shower and I am surprised as its use as a shampoo so I am going to continue to use it to see how it works after multiple uses. It does not have a flowery or highly scented smell to it, it is rather earthy, however the effect on my skin and hair is impressive enough for me to keep using it to see how it holds up over more time. I am impressed with it. If my impression changes I will update my review.⭐️ 1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality, or it does not reflect the advertising.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or is not priced where it should be for the product.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable. I think this is a good deal. The bars are very large and this is very moisturizing. I just don't like the scent. It isn't overly strong, it is just something I don't like. I am going to use these for washing my hands. I get very dry skin in the winter, especially my hands and I think these will be great for that. I just wish the scent was more my thing. It is not like a strong perfume, but more of the clay or earthy type of scent.

This package contains 5 (large) bars of soap made from olive oil. The bars themselves are not individually packaged, so you'll wanna store this somewhere dry. I live in an area with very hard water. I read that soaps made from plant based oils lather and overall perform better in hard water conditions. I've tried castille soap and that worked pretty well, so I was hoping that the same holds true for olive oil soap.The soap isn't pleasant smelling. To me, it smells similar to car wax. Unfortunately it seems to smell worse when wet. I attempted to lather this soap under hard water in the shower. No luck. None. As in no lather at all. Fine. I've got RO water (basically distilled) so I tried that. Rinsed the bar good with RO and attempted to lather, and...nothing again. Not to say I didn't have soap residue on my hands, so I started rubbing it in. Not sure how to even describe the smell at that point but it was worse than the car wax smell. Oh well, I thought, at least it'll moisturize. I rinsed it off. Before I even attempted to dry off my skin started itching. I was itchy, and smelled bad. So, I threw the bar away and took another shower using my regular soap.
