my dad was graze by a bolt on his temple and fall out of the tree and broke his back, if he would have a safety line on, he would have been ok, but he didn't. we aways take rope and tie are self into the tree but that day he did it, and he spent the next six mouth on his back. NOW WITH THIS SAFETY ROPE YOUR LOCK IN FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END OF THE HUNT. A FUN HUNT IS A SAFETY HUNT

Just buy it! you need it.
You may have a descender but unless your descender is expensive it's one time use. that means you fall and your day is over unless you wanna risk the second fall killing you. A piece of mind is priceless!

Great for saddle hunting half line
I have to say this is well made little stiff but being a big guy it holds strong and don't show sign of wear after few uses I'm going to say it's tge best deal for the money and we'll just as good as high end rope. The life line ascender is well made its very stiff I took it off and worked it around to soften it up some and it worked really good ..Note" I recommend doing this to insure it grips as it should . When I f7rst tried it out I noticed it was slipping a little ti I set it hard . So I suggest doing what I said before first use .. it's not a malfunction issue it's from being new so don't worry about it not working it will wirk great.. I'm surprised how ever it don't have a warning for break in on that issue tho. But I'm going to give this a 4 star rating only because of that reason.I look forward to buying another one.

Not 2 pieces. Rather 1 30 ft rope.
It wasn't 2 pieces. It was one enormously long lineman's/tether of approximately 30 feet. However, I just cut it in two and made 2 tethers. So it all worked out in the end. The rope is well made.
