amazing
I workout in a class setting and use these for deadlifts. I was using straps before, but getting them on took soooo long and wasted time in class. These straps are so easy to slide on, and help me keep up in my fast paced classes. Easy to store in my bag or car and they have held up nicely for months. Highly recommend!!

Well made and comfortable
These little grips fit securely on my wrists and allowed me to lift heavier weights without worrying about my grip. The material they're made of is soft but firm, and the high density foam in the portion that sits in your hand is slightly malleable but very firm.

Good grips but could use a few tweaks to make it excellent
These are overall good grips for pulling exercises like pull-ups, rows, deadlifts, etc. When you put them on place the rectangle buckle on the thumb side of the wrist. This leaves the thumb pad exposed so you can move it freely to grip the bar. The leather wrap portion should keep the fingers from sliding out, not hinder the thumb. If you put the rectangular buckle on the pinky side the pad partly covers the thumb pad which feels weird and makes it harder to get a secure grip with the fingers. See second pic. Think they could make a small improvement by marking left and right on them to make it clear. One other small improvement would be to extend the wrist padding on the thumb side about a 1/4" more. As I tighten the wrist strap the neoprene padding gets sucked through the buckle occasionally. I don't tend to notice this as it's not uncomfortable until I weight the strap. When weighted and without the padding it does not feel good. Recommend checking that the padding hasn't come through the buckle prior to use each set. See first pic.Overall, these are pretty good, especially for their listed price. The hump in the leather is placed a good distance so it wraps around a normal Olympic sized bar or pull up bar, the leather stretches minimally, and when you tighten the wrist strap correctly it stays put and does not slide further up the wrist.

Great gloves
Once I got the hang of how to use them with dumbells, I love them. I suggest watching some YouTube videos on it. These are comfortable, durable, and are made of good materials. I can lift heavier, especially lower bod,y without feeling limited by my grip strength, which feels so freeing.

Maybe ok for folks picking up very heavy weights, but uncomfortable & clumsy for my workout.
I was starting to develop painful calluses on my hands from working out with dumbbells, so I decided to get some weightlifting workout gloves. These seemed like a good option because of the thick leather padding. However, I found that them very clumsy to put on and take off, clumsy to navigate my adjustable dumbbells while wearing them and the edge dug into the fleshy part of my thumb in a very uncomfortable way.Perhaps if I were a huge guy with bigger hands, or someone picking up very heavy barbells, they might be just the ticket. In fact, I'm holding on to them for when I try to do pull-ups (I'm working my way to them), because for that hold the grip will probably be more helpful. I'll update after that.

More comfortable than straps
These grips are more comfortable and more convenient than straps, being more secure and faster to set up and attach to the bar. They work as advertised and the padding is adequate and does not pinch the skin of the wrist or hands even under load. I have small wrists and they still can be tightened adequately, which is an issue I have with regular straps. The neoprene construction material provides adequate support. For $18, they are worth the upgrade over normal straps.
