This mic was Perfect for my application very easy to use and worked great.

Not great sound quality. My basic wired apple earbuds mic sounds better.

Has own app but did not enhance whistling recording like I hoped.

1. Stereo recording doesn't work correctly. With the mode set to music recording, all sounds are panned center regardless of where the sound source is relative to the mic. 2. When I set the level as low as possible, and tried to record percussion, the sound was distorted and had a strange phase/flanger resonance. 3. Audio recordings in the Music Library won't play back inside the Palovue app while the iMic is connected. I tried listening through the iMic's headphone port, as well as thru headphones connect to a lightning-to-headphone adapter connected to the lightning thru on the iMic. In either case, pressing play had no effect. 4. The male lightning connector won't physically reach the port on my iPhone if my case is on, so I have to remove the end of my case to use it. 5. It's not clear from the manual or product images, but the capsule head on the iMic can be twisted and rotated 90 degrees. 6. It's also not clear which surface of the microphone should face the source (end-address? side-address?). Or whether omni, cardioid, or stereo modes require any different orientation. It is possible that Palovue's support may offer some remedies or suggestinos; if not, I'm planning to return it.
