Review: Cool toy - Purchased this to chase off foxes in my area that have been confirmed to be rabid. I haven’t seen a fox (the word must be out) but this is a lot of fun to shoot. It sounds like a suppressed 9mm. For a CO2 rifle, it’s a little louder than I’d like it to be, but still it’s a lot of fun. The optics leaves much to be desired. And honestly, the optic isn’t bad, installing the battery was the real issue. It’s a cheap plastic housing and it’s not easy to open and install battery. I think it’s pretty accurate up to about 20-25 yds. I’ve hit signs about 100ft away, but I wouldn’t try to aim at a small target from more than 20-30 yds away.
Review: Well made, precise, fun, realistic - It feels way realistic, well-made, fun to fire, accurate (the red dot optics in the attached picture are my own, not the original, which was just fine until I damaged its reflective glass). I only wish I Crosman had a better design where the CO2 canisters are placed inside the rifle itself instead of the magazine, so we can have multiple filled magazines instead of being forced to refill the same magazine in the middle of shooting. The blowback is awesome. Never forget to wear safety goggles as BBs could ricochet in any direction. Treat it like a real rifle, respect it so it won't get you or your loved ones in accidents. This is not a toy. It can penetrate food cans (especially at the beginning of the CO2 canister), so be aware, and have fun with it responsibly. You can customize it like a real M4 (as you can see in the attached picture). It will consume its BBs and the CO2 quickly if you go full auto, so short-controlled bursts are the best for longer fun, control, and accuracy. If I had the money, I'd purchase its AK version too.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this shoot plastic bb’s or only the metal ones?**
A: First, the ADVERT SAYS it's a BB rifle!
Second, BB's are .177in or 4.49mm
Plastic (airsoft) BB's are 6mm
So what do you think???
D'uh!

**Q: Is this rifle semi auto too?**
A: Semi-Auto and Auto

**Q: Is this the same as the bushmaster mpw?**
A: Yes. This is the new model from crosman. Dpms was first. Then bushmaster. This one is called the r1. It stripes down just like a real ar into an upper and lower halves. The r1 features the longer barrel like the dpms and also the feature of being able to swap out the grip and buttock with any ar compatible parts.

**Q: Is it blowblowback**
A: No recoil

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best BB gun
*by L***P on September 19, 2026*

Best BB gun I've ever owned. The shooting experience is next level for just an air rifle and far exceeded my expectations. For the price it's worth every penny that's put into it really id suggest it to anyone who's trying to get into BB guns.
