Great product
So far I've only used this unit on a 3-week adventure bike ride in Central America and it worked wonderfully. Haven't explored its functions beyond a Bluetooth connection to phone navigation but even it I use no other features, this is enough to make it a great addition. Keeping the phone in a safe place (i.e. not exposed to danger on a handlebar mount!) is a huge advance and the larger screen is a real plus.

Really bright even in the direct sun
It's 7" which is about the same size as my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra turned sideways. The problem is my phone doesn't work the best in the direct sunlight and really doesn't like to get warm. Second problem is the icons are small and the controls are finicky with gloves on. All I want is to be able to see my maps (google maps or Waze) correctly and change the channels on whatever music app I'm using while wearing gloves and cruising at speed. The Carpuride W702 Pro does this easily. I picked this model over all the others since it was close to my phones size of 7", has the auto light adjustment that only pro models have, and the mount is the standard 1" ball which works with all the RAM mounts I use on my bikes. The included mount looks well-built but I like the RAM mounts since there is so many options out there to have them integrated into factory locations, like the steering stem.

Works Great for Android Auto on XMAX Scooter
tl;dr: It's fine but has some quirks. First, let's talk preparation. I mounted this on a 2025 Yamaha XMAX 300. The XMAX doesn't have much room on the handlebars for something like this, so I bought a navigation bar that attaches under the windshield and mounts to the top of the "dashboard". I also installed a Thunderbox which automatically cuts power to connected accessories when the engine is off. This means this display is only powered when the engine is on, and the display goes off after the engine is cut. Once everything was prepared, installing this display was straightforward. The wiring was long enough to route and attach to the Thunderbox. The clamp and arm holding the display has held tight so far - but I do think a smaller arm would work better in my specific setup. My one critique about the clamp is that it offers nearly no protection against theft. It's easy enough to remove if you have the right tool on you, but it's also too difficult to remove anytime you're off the bike. You end up just hoping that it'll still be attached when you get back. Hope isn't a plan, so this is where I take a star off the review. Functionally as an Android Auto mirror, it's been good. I had to switch from Google Maps to Waze to get it to reliably display the speed limit on the map, but I don't think that's the device's fault. It pairs to my phone - a Pixel 10 Pro - reliably, but it does take maybe 30 seconds total for it to pair and bring up Android Auto automatically. I don't ride with a passenger so I don't care too much about the dual audio output feature. I have a Cardo Freecom 4x paired to the phone that acts as my headset and it has all worked fine so far. I've run in to exactly 1 bug so far. I had started a call while connected to the device. I then shut off my bike but kept the call going even after the display shut off. When I started the bike again - the phone call still going - it failed to make it back to Android Auto. It showed the call information in the Carpuride interface (NOT the Android Auto interface) correctly, but when I pressed the Android Auto button, the screen went black except for a single blue rectangle at the top center. I tried tapping, swiping, etc. to go back, but nothing worked until I cut the power to the unit again. This was the first and only issue I've had with it in the 5+ hours I've used it. The display is bright enough. The touch screen is good enough when wearing gloves. I haven't explored the depths of all the other menus and features it offers. I just wanted an Android Auto display to show the map and traffic ahead of me, and so far it has been great.

The device is excellent.
The device is excellent. The phone communication and connection are excellent. We can't see all the apps. But it was perfect for my motorcycle. I even use the same device in my car. The connection cable and connection adapter for my motorcycle came out just like that. There is also a USB connection cable for the car, which is a very good thing. I can use the device wherever I want. The lack of its own battery is a negative aspect. Also, the back and middle parts of the device get extremely hot. I don't understand if that's how the operating system works, but the excessive heating doesn't seem normal to me. Other than that, I can't say anything negative; the device is excellent. Great concept, but now dead without actually having even used it
Mounted it, confirmed it was working. I never actually took the motorcycle on a ride until today when I went to use it and it's as dead as a doornail. I have tried both the hard mounted 12v and the included USB plug. Neither work. The unit gets warm but won't turn on and screen won't respond to a hard reset. I have seen information on Reddit that this is a routine issue. What a shame, the unit looks good and is the right size for touring. It hooked up to my phone without issue when first installed. It's just dead now without explanation.

Works well, sometimes hard to connect
As a CarPlay device, this works quite well. Connection is something between finniky and could be better explained, but once you get it to work, it works. As a display for the phone, it's great. You will ahve to deal with on a motorcycle if you don't have cell service, you won't have data/maps etc that you might need. Sometimes it won't connect to my phone, and I have to start over. Well, that happened once. But it's easy to see, works with gloves, and works a lot better than Garmin XT for a general device for phone and maps and such, as long as you want to use the maps on your phone. Not all apps are CarPlay compatible, but that's not the fault of the device. Been through rain, lots of vibration, use it in the car as well when I'm not on the bike.

Works great for Apple CarPlay.
I was tired of using my phone with a mount for navigation, music, and more. I figured I would chance it with this, and I was pleasantly surprised. The installation was very easy and quick. I purchased, separately, a ball-mount stud that replace one of the handle bar bolts. This allowed me to mount the unit exactly how I wanted it. It is low enough to still see that gauges and centered between the handlebars. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to pair my helmet and phone to the Carpuride to make it work as I wanted. I can now use Siri while I am riding just as you would normally. The size of the screen is perfect for running your map applications. Overall a very useful and well built device.

Glorified smart phone.
Returned because this unit didn't do anything more than my smart phone. As a matter of fact, my smart phone is easier to navigate.

Me encanta
Muy facil de usar. Cambie mi Garmin por este, porque es facil cuando voy en moto y se conecta con mi iPhone.

Great match to my BMW C400 GT
I have a 2024 BMW C400 GT Ion and normally connect my iPhone 16 Pro Max so that I can listen to my music/ podcast, being able to skip tracks using the wonderwheel. I was worried that if I connect my phone to to the Carpuride W702 Pro, I would lose the ability to connect my phone to the BMW TFT. I was pleasantly wrong. You see I don’t have the BMW Navigation Prep and therefore didn’t want to spend over $1000AUD to have it installed but liked the simple ability to still have my phone connected and controlled by the BMW TFT. Silly me thought that I would lose this ability as my phone would have to dedicate a spare Bluetooth channel to the W702 Pro. Seems like the W702 Pro initially uses the Bluetooth as initial connection then switch over to WiFi which now allows me to connect the BMW TFT and therefore same as usual prior to getting the W702 Pro. The results are: 1.My phone is connected to the W702 Pro via WiFi; 2. The BMW TFT is connected to my phone via Bluetooth which allows me some control on my phone (music playback etc); 3. My Cardo Packtalk Edge is connected to my phone for audio and mic for calls as well as music; 4. I can still use the Cardo app as it’s connected to the Packtalk as a second phone; 5. My Packtalk is still connected to the BMW TFT. Bottom line, it’s as if my ride doesn’t even see the W702 Pro but now I can hide my phone in my pocket safe and secure unlike before but have a screen as if my phone is outside in the elements. The pros so far is as stated above, which considering my phone cost $2144AUD compared to what I paid for the W702 Pro ($329.99AUD) is a good swap. It also has the ability to do dark mode thanks to the light sensor on the W702 Pro. I guess only time will tell how well this one will be but considering I don’t really go off-road with my ride, is fit for purpose. NB: I have a Healtech Thunderbox to power the W702 Pro so it turns on and off with the bike - Perfect!!

W702Pro
Great product however you cannot load some third party apps. There is no interface with Google store on this unit. I bought it for GPS apps so no issues there. You can connect two riders together or use your headset and connect a different way and still have music interface with the unit.
