Love it
I like strong espresso and typically have Bustelo (black, no sugar) or head to the Cuban bakery if I want a little sugar added to it (because they make it perfectly.) When I feel for something a little lighter, this hits the spot. It's quite enjoyable. The bag is larger than I'd typically get, but the price paid at the time is more than reasonable. The beans are stored in a coffee canister, and I'm still working my way through it 2 1/2 months later... I probably have 2 1/2 months to go and so far, it's maintained it's freshness. Happy to recommend.

Not French Roast
I buy Cameron's coffee as a staple at the grocery store, but they do not carry organic French roast so I came to Amazon and sure enough Amazon had it. However it was a bummer because the coffee is not French roast. I am going to keep it because it tastes a lot like their espresso roast. But again this is not French Roast not even close. Not only am I a coffee drinker of more than 50 years, but I have owned coffee shops and I am trained barista. So I say to Cameron's roaster, it does not matter how you think French roast should taste, what matters is what your customer thinks they are buying as the general public as a whole knows what French roast has always tasted like, regardless if it is fresh or not it has a distinctive flavor. Good news is Amazon has a lot of organic French roast to shop.

This brand surprised me!
I’ve had Cameron’s before and thought it was average, but this espresso is fantastic! Some espresso can be bitter or have little to no taste at all but this was a mellow yet rich flavor. I would highly recommend this and would also recommend making espresso in a French press!

Not bad
For the price, this is a little better than I expected. Flavor and freshness are a bit nicer than grocery store generic brand at a similar dollar. There’s no date of package on the bag, though the beans have a semi-shiny appearance that means the oils in the coffee bean have had enough time to start surfacing - meaning not super fresh - but it’s nowhere near as bad as you’d see on store-bought stuff.Overall, I’ve been subscribed to one bag per month (give or take) for a little while now, and after half a dozen or so bags I can say I’ve been pretty satisfied with it as a daily cup and the quality is consistent.

Solid medium dark roast
The beans are intact with almost no broken bits. It has a uniform roast that looks and drinks like a true city medium dark. The flavor is balanced with hints of chocolate and no bitterness. Overall a great bean for the price. I'm very happy with this brand and will definitely buy again.

Smooth
This coffee is great! I love the mild flavor and very smooth, not bitter. I bought more after I tried the first bag. A little pricey but to be expected for organic.

Meh espresso, but decent Americano and other uses
I'm using this with a Breville Barista Pro. I don't have a fancy palette and I'm not a coffee snob by any means, but I admit that my local roasters make really good stuff. But that gets expensive, so I'm searching for some "grocery store" beans for regular use. This was $12 for 1.75 pounds, so it was worth a try. I got it dialed in, and it makes a -just OK- espresso. It's not bad and there's nothing terribly offensive about it, but it's just kind of plain roasted flavor and that's all. It can get bitter, but once I got the grind settings and amounts right, I took the edge off by reducing brew temperature to 91C (as low as the Barista Pro will go).Diluting a double shot up to about 6 or 7 ounces, it makes a decent Americano with a little half+half and sugar. I haven't tried it as drip, pour over, or Aeropress, but I imagine other regular strength drinks would be OK. Being a dark roast, I found that grinding it super fine and sprinkling it over some vanilla ice cream was actually very tasty. The roasty flavor was a good contrast with the sweet vanilla. It was also good when mixed into a dry rub for grilling a tri-tip.Overall, in the right context, this is a decent coffee and certainly a good value when on sale. If you like dark and roasty, then this should be fine. It's not right for me purely as an espresso, but I think it's OK diluted. I'll definitely use the rest of the bag for Americanos and I'll try the Aeropress and pour over, but once it's gone I'll try something else as a cheap solution for everyday espresso.

Hard to find in stores, love this brand and flavor
Great value, almost impossible to find in grocery stores as this flavor is always out. This will be a re-order for us for a long time.
