good item everything was packaged neatly, on my first use i found one little flake of gold in the local stream.

It’s a decent sluice for the price but the wing nuts and bolts should replaced upon arrival. The aluminum used in constructing this sluice is plenty thick and solid, it would be hard to warp it. With some experience and modification, this is going to be my “cleaning” sluice after crushing rocks and it will be perfect for that. With the added gear included with the sluice, I find this a good deal!

My husband bought for his farher on fathers day and he was extremely pleased with the quality and durability of this panning set. He has seen his fair share or minning equipment and has plans to purchase another just for himself

Bought this to do some prospecting. Created a metal frame for it and even a highbanking type attachment. Planning on moving past this setup but was a great first step for us.

Mediocre, sharp edges on the grates, wing nuts can blow gold out, make some modifications is my advise and make it not foldable by putting an extra bolt in under the originals, most importantly if the deep v mat it's great quality but the adhesive came undone in about 4 to 5 trips making it a gold blow out, I'm currently gluing it back down dont get me wrong the thing WORKS!! and that's why it gets the 2 starts but dont be thinking ur gonna be hassle free after this purchase, I'm now planning to buy a clean up sluice and gonna pay more than double what I put in to this .. also worth mentioning the pan I feel is too small ( my personal opinion) the tweezers mag glass is useless, the snuffer bottles should have a tube on the inside of the bottle so gold can't be washed back out once it's inside the bottle, the scoop is a little small ... you get what you pay for.

Seems like a good product with one warning. I cut my hands trying to assemble this thing. A lot of the edges have burrs and will slice you up if you're not careful. You could wear gloves and avoid the trouble...I , on the other hand, took a few hours and some sandpaper, files, etc to clean up all the dangerous areas. I've been a metal worker for 10+ years, and this got me 😆. Other than that, I did find some gold in Mitake Japan!! Gold is NOT common out here, but this thing found me a flake and some flour. Mind you it was my first time using a sluice, once I get better, this thing is going to produce!! I'm giving it 4 stars, it's amazing for the price, just needs some clean up.
