Best 3.95GBP I ever spent!
Wow. No screenshot or gameplay video does this game justice. It has the perfect sense of high speed (works well with 3D glasses), great graphics and camera work, and the best smashes since Crash Day. There's also a broad choice of cars (plus a few motorbikes) and plenty of variety to the open environment. Just great fun. Recommended even for car racing game haters.

Awesome Game
The game itself is very good, plenty of freedom to explore, What I'm not so keen on is the interference from EA in on-line mode.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll hurl...
This has got to be one of my top 3 "most fun I've EVER had" in a game. Can't recommend it enough. Challenging but not excessively difficult.

Online multi player no longer available. Offline quite fun, motorbikes novelty but did not hold attention...
Having read enthusiastic reviews on the internet I purchased this game very cheap on Amazon in Oct 2012. The online multi player content appears to no longer be available. Offline it is quite fun, the motorbikes are a novelty but it did not hold my attention for long. This game is mainly about crashing into cars and advertising boards in novel ways and racing to destinations by any route possible. It is up to you to find the effective routes and short cuts, the game does not help you much with finding directions. The only people in 'Paradise City' are the motorcyclists, the cars and streets are spookily empty... I suppose given the crazy irresponsible driving and horrific crashes if there had been people there would have been blood and limbs everywhere! If you have not played this sort of game before you will probably enjoy it. Unfortunately I had already played "Need For Speed Most Wanted" (2005 edition) which I thoroughly enjoyed and there was not sufficient difference in "Burnout Paradise" to keep me coming back.In "Burnout Paradise" the camera has only two settings so sometimes it is hard to see obstacles ahead. The city area is mainly grey with a bit more variety in the mountainous areas outside of town. The look of the game is realistic but the game play is unrealistic exaggerated arcade style, which is an odd mix. I would have preferred a more cartoon style of graphics to suit the game play. The makers of Burnout, Criterion Studios, are now making a new 'reimagined' version of'Need for Speed Most Wanted' 2012 which is being being billed as actually the next 'Burnout' game....so that might be worth checking out.Criterion Studios are currently based in Guildford UK and I can't help thinking a crazy driving game set in and around Guildford would have been more interesting, original and amusing than a clichéd American 'Paradise City'.This is just a personal opinion and many people obviously love this game, so if this is your idea of "Paradise"(?) at a cheap price on Amazon you might as well give it a go...
