Cumrige Automatic Litter Box,Safety Sensor,App Control,95L Large Capacity

Updated 9/11/2025: I just returned from a 3 week camping trip where I had to clean the kitty litter box daily in the camper. I was so eager to get the cats back to their Cumrige Litter robot! Cleaning is so much less frequent and easier. Odor control is much better. I cannot recommend this litter robot enough. The remainder of my review below brings plenty of insight to its benefits. 8/3/2025: I purchased this Cumrige Litter robot during Amazon Days. When it arrived, I was busy and waited a few days before unboxing. Two days after receiving, I discovered the same item was offered for a 30% discount less than the 'discounted' price I paid on Amazon Days. I started to return the item and repurchase, but that would have cost nearly $30 to ship back. I reached out to the company stating I would have gladly waited, I didn't feel my Amazon Days price was a fair discount, and requested if they would offer me the 30% discount by keeping the item, saving us both the return/reshipping fees. This company was quick to respond and agreed to offer me the refund. What a wonderful company customer service! So, I unboxed and assembled the litter box. I did have to unscrew the bearing ring washers and reseat that bearing assembly under the washers so that it would properly turn the drum. I easily connected to my wifi and tested the functions of the unit. All worked as advertised. My router has 5Ghz / 2.4Ghz dual mode, notorious for dropping the devices requiring 2.4Ghz, like cameras. The device stays in the app queue for the litter box, may show offline, but escaping out of the error screen returns the device to normal connection operation, does not lose the records, another bonus. I find the app very helpful to keep track of use. Weight is not totally accurate, but close enough that I can at least tell which cat is which, as they are about a 4 pound difference right now. The app shows how long each cat spends in the litter box, time entered, and you can adjust how long the drum waits to clean the litter after they exit, giving it time to bind. The drum moves slowly and senses if cat is getting in again as a safety feature and will stop moving. They are highly entertained watching! I did accidentally add a little too much litter on first attempt and received the pinch error. After removing some of the litter, it returned to normal function. Very minimal amount of litter required compared to standard litter boxes. I tried a few different brands and settled on the Arm & Hammer Glide. The app also shows the pinch error if the cats enter while it is in the cleaning cycle, but again returns to clean in a few seconds after detecting their absence. Kitties took only a few days getting used to using it, but still enjoy the entertainment. My 10 month old kitten is already pretty comfortable with it. The 3 1/2 month old was curious, but I added a small comfortable height step stool for her to enter/ exit due to the opening height. I am enjoying just one cat box to clean, so much less frequently. Two cats and 2 stinky boxes was overwhelming! The smell is concealed below in a disposable bag with a deodorizer to help mask, also. You do notice the odors during the cleaning cycle & within a few minutes after. I keep a powder cup of of baking soda with a dash of lavender to sprinkle in every few days, and with fresh litter or as needed. I started using the Arm & Hammer Glide litter after trying a few others. The box is an okay height for my part Norwegian Forest Cat, he's already pretty tall with super long hind legs at just under one year old. Baby girl is Balinese, at 4 months, so likely she will be more petite than average Siamese when she is full grown. She just got sprayed yesterday and I kept her in my bedroom overnight with a large pellet type litter in litterbox. This morning, she went straight back to the litter robot! They love it! I appreciate the automation. My first total cleaning was an eye opener, as I took the whole thing outside to do a through cleaning! A bit more effort to thoroughly clean the entire unit, but not a show stopper, nor does it require this thorough cleaning frequently if properly maintained in between. I think I will order extra liners for the drum to support it! I had it all outside drying in the sun after cleaning it with dishwasher liquid and water. They couldn't wait for me to get their robot back in place!!! What a great invention! Who knew? Automated help for cat lovers at it's best! ❤️

This is the best litter box I've tried! Its much easier to change the litter than other options, the liner is removable and alot stronger than others I've tried, it's very quiet when in cleaning mode, which tracks when my cats use the litter box and immediately filters the dirty litter. My favorite thing about this litter box is that the bag bin is underneath the box instead of on the side like others so it's much easier to change the bag. I've had this litter box for several months and I've had no problems with leakage or tearing of the liner which is great! I would definitely recommend this litter box to anyone asking for suggestions!

This lister box has made pet keeping sooo much easier! The set up of the machine is fairly easy and took me less than 10 minutes. My cat got used to the litter box very fast and I love that there is a light on there for night time as well. As for emptying the litter box and placing a new trash bag, you just pull the litter box like a drawer and lift the bag out and toss it. And then place a new trash bag into the drawer and slide it back in. This litter box is super easy to clean, set up and light enough to move around if you want to put it in a different spot in the house. It’s cat approved and owner approved too. I used to have a different automatic litter box and it was always a pain having to clean it out becuase the poo would always spill out. With this version life has been so much easier replacing the trash bag and cleaning up my cats litter.

The litter box is very convenient and easy to use, after figuring out how to use the app. The app seems poorly translated into English, but is functional with no other issues. The app also records your cat’s weight each time they use the littler box, although I don’t think it’s very accurate. I consider this negligible as it’s doesn’t affect item function. The litter box does well with reducing odors and containing allergens. Initial setup included simple to follow instructions. The removable lid makes refilling litter and cleaning the interior easier, and is quiet when self cleaning. My cat uses it with no issue, but larger cats may feel there is not enough space inside. This item makes an excellent gift; my parents travel frequently and find this litter box useful.

I’ve only had the litter box set up for about 3 days but my cats (one of which was peeing outside his old litter box) took to it instantly. They were a little curious and anxious of the sound at first (which is very quiet) but after a couple times they don’t really mind it now. The size of the box itself is large but the part the litter is in is smaller. My boy cat is about 14 pounds and uses it just fine. The height of the hole is quite high but I just put a little step for them. For the price, this litter box is super great quality and the app control is amazing. It lets you pick what color you want the light to be on the inside, you can choose between manual cleaning or automatic, how long after the cat uses it you want it to cycle, the cats weight and time they’ve used it, how long they were in there, it automatically stops cycling when the anti punch is triggered (I tested it lol) and other stuff. I can’t stop gawking at it. 10/10 would recommend

I've been using the Self-Cleaning Litter Box for several weeks now, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. Setup was quick and straightforward, and the app connected easily, allowing me to monitor usage and control cleaning cycles from my phone. The automatic cleaning works exactly as advertised. It keeps the litter box consistently clean, which my cats seem to appreciate, and it has dramatically reduced odors in the house. The large capacity is perfect because I don't have to empty the waste bin every day, making maintenance much easier. One feature I really appreciate is the built-in safety protection. It pauses automatically if one of my cats approaches during a cleaning cycle, giving me peace of mind. It's also surprisingly quiet, so it doesn't startle the cats or disturb anyone in the house. The included garbage bags are a nice bonus, and replacing the waste bag takes only a minute or two. We recently bought this since we were going on vacation and had 2 indoor cats. - I find the app very helpful to keep track of use. Weight is not totally accurate, but close enough. The app shows how long each cat spends in the litter box, time entered, and you can adjust how long the drum waits to clean the litter after they exit, giving it time to bind. There were times the cleaning cycle did not start on its own after the cats used the litter box. So we had to start it from the app. - Smell isn't noticeable unless the the tray is full and it hasn't cycled for awhile. You do notice the odors during the cleaning cycle & within a few minutes after. - The litterbox does tend to get litter outside of it, mainly due to my cats refusing to use the step and just leaping out at full speed and sending it everywhere and one of them is an extreme digger.

Short version: This was my first (and likely my last) drum based 'self cleaning litter box'; may be my last attempt at any 'self-cleaning' box unless I see a radical concept change. The concept here is similar to the linear ones -- run a comb through the litter; anything that passes through the comb may stay in the box, anything that does not goes into a waste bin. This particular one has some points in its favour, but failed in the end to impress me, or even live up to my (diminished because of other self-cleaning litter boxes I have tried) expectations. 1) This is not a time saver. It is a time deferral tool. 2) This was an expensive device to last only about 14 months before it failed. 3) I have not, in the time I have had any 'self-cleaning' litter box, found any litter that works for such use. 4) Sometimes smaller turds would get stuck in the holding space behind the comb. 5) There are no gaskets or flaps or other things that keep the smell in the collection bin. Long version: I purchased this model because, unlike so many others, the drum was big enough for a adult cat to use. The others look to me like they are kitten-sized. Consider how sensitive cats' noses are, and then think about this: would you (assuming you are adult-sized) want to use a 5 foot high (children-sized) porta-potty where you had to scrunch yourself up to fit, or a 7+ foot high (adult-sized) porta-potty, where you could at least stand up inside it before and after you did your business? Overall, the build seemed pretty solid. The legs are questionable, but the rest of the unit fit together reasonably well, and I didn't see major misalignments between the parts; the seams were consistent. Other than the legs falling off if you picked it up even a little bit (and the legs not being at least a little adjustable), it seemed good. 1) I have never really saved time with 'self-cleaning' litter boxes; this is a fine example of that. I have two large litter boxes (this thing can stand in either one with a little to the sides and several inches front and back to spare. I spend about 5 minutes per day sifting through these, and about 15 minutes each per month emptying the litter, washing and drying the boxes, and putting in new litter. That works out to about 2340 minutes -- (((5 * 6) + 15) * 52) minutes -- per year per box. This 'self-cleaning' litter box, like so many others, requires a lot more maintenance but on a different schedule. Each day, the drawer must be emptied and the litter pan (mesh-looking thing) scraped (unless you like ammonia and poop smells), and more litter added since the capacity is so small that a day's use depletes it noticeably (about 3 minutes). Every week it needs all the litter purged (it has a button for this, and the litter pan should be removed and cleaned and treated if you see any mold on it, then the drum and comb cleaned (cloth dampened with warm soapy water), dry the drum and comb and litter pan, reinstall the litter pan, and then add fresh litter (about 30 minutes). Every fourth week, instead of the usual weekly work, take the drum out completely, remove the litter pan, wash and dry the drum thoroughly, clean the litter pan, treat for mold if needed, and dry it, then put it back into the drum. Reinstall the drum to the unit. If you use a garden hose and sprayer or something of that level, probably about 30 minutes for this, but you'll have to let it dry in warm dry sunlight with good draining for it to get properly dry. I normally just dismantled the drum, washed and dried the parts, treated the litter pan for mold when I saw some, and put it all back together. This took me over an hour each time. For me this works out to between 2496 ((((((3 * 6) + 30) * 3) + ((3 * 6) + 30)) * 13) and more than 2886 ((((((3 * 6) + 30) * 3) + ((3 * 6) + 60)) * 13) minutes per year. It saves time most days, but the additional maintenance each week more than consumes the amount of time saved every other day. Hard to blame this on this manufacturer; something along this pattern applies to every 'self-cleaning' litter box I have tried so far. Enough that I really question the point of these things... 2) I got about 14 months of use before walking it on it for the weekly ritual and noticing that in addition to the usual ammonia and poop smell, there was a burning smell. The drum was inverted (so the disposal drawer fully open to the room) and the unit appeared wedged. Thankfully I saw nothing externally burned, but the motor that drives the drum has not moved since, despite my efforts -- power cycling it, trying to reset it otherwise, trying to force a cleaning or purge cycle. 3) One of the big reasons I have never really been enthusiastic about these 'self-cleaning' litter boxes is because no litter I have tried in them really works well. No litter I have tried ever clumps firmly enough in time for the cleaning cycle (the clumps frequently, but not always, fall apart, and at least bits either get stuck to or behind the comb). In the linear 'self-cleaning' boxes, you could trigger a cycle and clean up a little behind the comb as it moved through the litter, but in the drum model, the partial clumps tend to get stuck in that holding space behind the comb, emitting that smell that combines urine and ammonia, and somehow still attracts mold, until you somehow get them out (thence the every-four-weeks full drum washing). Granted, I prefer a natural bio-degradable / compostable / flushable cat litter. I even tried a few 'fast and hard' clumping varieties that only performed marginally better, but I avoided those with chemicals that I would prefer to avoid feeding to my cats (they do clean themselves after walking on it), so maybe I missed one because of this? 4) With fine combs I usually saw on linear boxes, I seldom saw turds get stuck like broken up clumps, though they also tended to toss a bunch of additional litter that probably was not part of clumps. However, with the really coarse combs most drum units (including this one) tend to have, small turds probably get caught in the holding space -- like they did on this one. I even tried coarse litter on this one but still got what I guess were partial clumps sticking to the comb or trapped behind it. 5) There is a roughly finger-thickness gap between the collection bin opening and the drum, and between the drum and the outer case. Basically, the collection bin is NOT isolated from the room. This is why the collection bin needs to be emptied at least daily.
