It includes all the components I need to brew & drink matcha. The quality of each component seems to be very good. The aesthetics of each piece, and with all pieces taken together as a set, are great and provide me with the experience I'm after. Yes, you can piecemeal each component in the set, but you'll have to spend more time comparison shopping, and you can easily end up paying more.At first, I thought this would be my starter kit. After having used it for a few weeks, I don't see any reason to upgrade from this kit whatsoever. My suggestion is to use your $ for good matcha, and spend only as necessary for the matcha ware. I'm completely satisfied with this matcha set.
