Great device for the money. Just use sensibly and properly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great tool for fixing and tinkering with things. *by A***A on 27 May 2025* This heat gun is quite a nifty little unit. It has a cable that is quite short, about a meter long, so I would advise you to use an extension lead with it. When powered on, the screen blinks two dashes until you press the small green power button. When clicked, it heats up speedily, easily reaching 450 degrees in less than 30 seconds. You can even see the heater emitting a red glow from within the cutout! As for fan noise, it was pleasantly quiet for what it was. Mind you, I had it set on 5 out of 10 fan speed, which can be changed. Since the fan is small, it does get proper loud once you set it to a higher level. Its not that heavy either, making work with it slightly easier. The handle is easy to grip and hold onto, and does not heat up with the heater inside. The small green buttons allow you to change the temperature by increments of 1 when clicked, or speedily increase / decrease when held. This unit can go upto 500⁰C and a minimum of 100⁰C. The build quality could be better however, as it does seem to be plastic. Its not the cheap type of plastic, rather the thicker and heatproof kind, suitable for handling the heater inside i suppose. I feel the value for money is something I can't quite comment on, especially as this is my first heat gun. But so far, so good! It did what I needed it to do; it got hot enough to melt solder points on a circuit board.
