Good primer. Sands well. Came out dry with my airgunsa and a 1.8 tip. I bought a tcp spray gun to use for primer and it worked well with a 2.5 tip. The 2.0 was still a little dry.

Great DTM product and seller!
This DTM-B624 Primer worked great and stuck to all surfaces on my 1967 Camaro. It also took base coat really well. The product is great, but the tech support is even better! I called and asked questions multiple times and they were excellent customer service. It was my first full car paint job and I asked basic questions, but they more than wanted the help. I highly reccomend Restoration Shop DTM-B624 primer if you have some sand through and exposed metal, but even more so I reccomend TCP Global Corp and their great customer service!

GOOD PRIMER, QUESTIONABLE INSTRUCTIONS
Sprayed this mixed 4:1 with a 2.0 tip at 80 deg, 52% humidity. Came out almost granular, but stuck well and covered well. I think the recommendations to use less activator and some reducer are spot-on. The only downside was the extra work of eliminating the granular bumps with more sanding than you might of had to do. Don't know how it would have sprayed at 70 or 75 degrees. At 80 the pot life was definitely shorter than 1 hour. Clean that spray gun quickly!

Works great if you know what you are doing
everyone yacking on about it drying too fast needs to learn how to read the weather and humidity the day they plan to use it instead of 4:1 knock it down to 5:1 and reduce a little if you can't figure out how to get it to work for you not discouraging DIY but the Internet is free read up watch some videos there's a lot of info out there about how to do an entire paint job start to finish and the good ones will talk about the effect the weather some gloss over that (no pun intended ) because of you do it regularly you'll just know i use this for customers on a serioud budget and ive had some cars out there for about 2 years now with thid on it i use every product on a vehicle of my own before i put it on a customers vehicle and my truck tail gate and bedside is still flawless 2 years later every paint and primer is different in its own way if you are going to paint you have to learn to adapt to the material you use

Great product for the money
ive used this primer once and i love it. I used it on a 90 degree day, using a hvlp harbor freight spray gun, i sprayed at 30psi to the tip and used a 1.7mm needle and tip. the primer was drying before it even hit the car ( due to the 90 degree temp). But even then, it still stuck and created a nice layer of primer. After sanding with 600 grit to get the texture feel out of the primer, it still covered the car and sanded very nicely. Next coat will be sprayed with a 2.0mm tip and needle to help prevent the paint from drying before it hits the car.
